      Happened with me at once in different reddy express when i was paying for fuel, I was even not able to pay with coles gift master card. Afterwards I never went that place again. It was all right with other coles/reddy express when paying with coles group gift card/coles gift mastercard.

      It is unusual to see deals on David Jones gift cards, but they occasionally pop up.

      • Coles and Woolworths ran bonus points deals on them once each in late 2024.

      • Giftz ran a bonus gift card deal in mid 2024.

      • ShopBack also ran a couple of bonus cashback deals in late 2024, and I vaguely remember Reward Gateway and HCF Thank You briefly selling David Jones gift cards at a discount around the same time too.

      This will not be straightforward.

      The TCN Gift and TCN Kids gift cards in this deal are eftpos-only gift cards that do not support online transactions. Having said that, you can go to the TCN website (linked in the deal description's table) and exchange the TCN gift card for a rebel e-gift card. The rebel e-gift card that can be redeemed online or in-store at rebel, but:

      • Online: the rebel website and the TCN website both say you can redeem a maximum of three rebel e-gift cards in one transaction (which would leave you $70 short). You also cannot consolidate multiple rebel e-gift cards into one through their website, because rebel gift cards are sold on a separate website operated by a third-party (Vii) and only accepts Visa, Mastercard and AMEX as payment methods.

      • In-Store: the rebel website says you can redeem "multiple" rebel e-gift cards in one transaction. (I interpret that to mean you can redeem as many rebel e-gift cards as you want.)

      Do you have an option to go in-store and either purchase the item (or purchase a rebel gift card to use on the website)? If you explain your issue to staff, they may let you purchase a rebel gift card using multiple TCN Gift/Kids gift cards.

      Not in-store. If you’re planning on doing a lot in one transaction it would be courteous to pick a time when the staff are not run off their feet and to also let them know in advance what your intentions are. I forget what the all-time record is but I know several people on here have redeemed many thousands in GCs for large purchases.

    How do you guys generally deal with the activation issues ? I had purchased 10 cards today in one transaction. Upon payment the system only activated 6 kids cards and 4 gift were not activated for some reason. The cashier was new and kept saying it will activate in 24 hrs.

                @bats0077: Ok all sorted. Called TCN over 2 days and they couldn’t help. Went back to the Reddy store for the third time and happened to have a manager on duty who fixed it all. My issue was that of 5 cards on the one receipt, only one showed up as approved on the bottom of the receipt - no mention of the other 4 other than I got charged for them. Apparently the cashier scanned the wrong barcode on the 4 missing cards - they scanned the barcode on the cardboard sleeve and not the unique barcode on the gift card itself. Not sure if you have the same issue. Josh at TCN was helpful

        Well the transaction goes through. Why tell them you're paying with gift card? It's a VISA card.

        You cannot purchase gift cards using physical Shell gift cards, as the EFTPOS terminal will automatically reject physical Shell gift cards as a payment method.

        You should be okay to purchase gift cards using Shell eGift Cards, but this is against the Shell eGift Card terms and conditions. If you only tell the staff member you want to pay by card (or Visa card, if they are confused), you should be fine. However, if the staff member notices you are trying to purchase a gift card using a Shell eGift Card (e.g. because they see your phone screen before you attempt payment), the staff member may (or may not) reject the payment method.

          In the first instance, I would contact BHN to see whether they can see any incoming refund transaction (or whether the refund transaction was rejected).

          Next, I would contact Reddy Express directly. I cannot find a customer support hotline listed on their Contact Us page, so it looks like you will need to either use their live chat feature or submit an enquiry.

          Keep in mind though that it has only been two business days since the refund transaction appears to have happened (because 21 April was a public holiday). The Visa network is not always the fastest when it comes to processing refund transactions, so there is a chance the refund amount would have showed up by now, or will show up on the next business day (28 April).

    If I can only get $50 TCN Kids gift cards and they are valid online only, and you can only use 3x gift cards max per transactions, and the ticket costs $229 these won't work will they? Or I still have to pay the excess $80?
