  • could we use the accor GC at restaurant inside the hotel?

    • +2

From Accor: You can use an Accor Hotels Gift Card to pay for food and beverage charges at participating Accor hotels in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji

Accor Hotels gift cards can be used at over 350 hotels, resorts and apartments across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Note that you can only use Accor gift cards in-person at a hotel or over the phone and they can only be used to pay for publicly available rates.

    • +1

Only if you’re staying at the hotel.

      • i thought you could just dine in and use it then? I'm planning to do this since I've got a gift card

        • +1

Check with the restaurant, but my understanding is only if the dining is charged to a room.

'The Card can be used to redeem the Card Value principally towards pre-booked accommodation at publicly available rates (excluding Accor Plus ‘Red Hot Room’ rates, Accor Vacation Club rates, or with contracted, negotiated or third party online rates). Any available remaining balance on the Card can then be used towards payment or partpayment of the Holder’s room account, including in-house restaurant dining, or other incidental food and beverage charges, however no change will be given for the unused balance of the Card'

I don’t know if it’s always enforced but they do state clearly that you need to be a guest:

You must be a staying guest of the hotel to use your Accor Gift Card. Unfortunately; the card cannot be used at the food and beverage outlets or spas of an AccorHotels property when you are NOT staying as a guest.

        • please let me know:)

    • yes you can

  • Turns out 10% off Luxury escapes gift cards…which is not bad. Amazon used to have 15% of LE but not lately.

    • Apologies, it has been a long day. How did you determine it turns out to be 10% off?

      • +2

Example: $100 card gives you 2000 points which is worth $10 off your next shop.

        • Thank you :)

  • Is it possible to book flights only thru Luxury Escapes using multiple cards plus cash? And are their fares generally competitive?
I am just not ready to book yet but thinking of buying some cards for future travels. Thanks!

    • +1

What can I use my Luxury Escapes Gift Card on?
Gift Cards are only available for use on Luxury Escapes Packages and exclude airfares.

Can I purchase and combine multiple Gift Cards?
You can purchase and combine unlimited Gift Cards; please note credits expire three years from purchase.

        Thank you kindly

      • I appreciate it says in their website, but I managed to book package (Incld. flights) through the credits loaded via gift cards. I also had this confirmed by their local shop.

        • Thanks for confirming that the gift cards can be used for packages that already included flights.

With Save 50 Cent's question, I assume the gift cards cannot be used to pay for flights only.

          • @trixieb: that is correct. for flights only, it will not work.

  • So looked at the same hotel through LuxuryEscapes and Accor. Accor was cheaper so I bought the Accor gift cards. Then I found out that they can only be used on the public flexible rate. The public rate is ~5% more expensive than the members rate (anyone can become an Accor member for free) and the flexible rate is ~6% more expensive than the online saver rate. So buying Accor gift cards are definitely not worth it.

Is there a way to add the above info to the gift card wiki?

    • oh wow, i am a gold member and was going to use it for multiple hotel stays over the holiday.

can i use it for dining with the 50% off from the membership?

    • is this the same card?

is this the correct info for the Accor gift card?

  • I am planning to buy some LE gift cards tomorrow, if mrs approves of resort. Any idea how long LE gift cards are valid for?

    • +1

They are valid for 3 years from the purchase date. As a reminder, only the LE $100-$500 variable load cards are included in this promo.

      • Thanks. So with $500 x 20 time EDR = 10000 points = $50. Luckily I have 2 Everyday accounts so can buy $1000 in total.
