$1276 is already the 75" C745 Pro and about $200 more for the 85" C745 Pro
C745 is QLED right? Wouldn't this be better as it's a miniLED?
Yeah 75" C745 is 200 dimming zones vs 512 on this TV (according to rtings, may be different for AU model)
@Ryballs: Every Hisense model I looked at in the past had an inferior AU model. I’d be amazed if this is an exception.
@cnut: According to this review the 65" AU model has 384 dimming zones, same as US: https://cybershack.com.au/reviews/hisense-u7nau-4k-mini-led-…
@Ryballs: That’s reassuring. Worth noting that even the article supports the point I was trying to make:
You must disregard any international reviews as these are invariably based on different panels, operating systems, and electronics used in UK, European, Chinese, and US models (Google TV).
Copy and Paste from AI, Compring the TCL 75" for $969 with this:
Between the Hisense 75" U7NAU and the TCL 75" Q7 (75Q750G), the Hisense U7NAU offers superior overall performance.

Recommendation and verdict
While the TCL Q7 offers excellent value, the Hisense U7NAU provides superior display technology with Mini-LED backlighting, higher peak brightness, and a higher native refresh rate, making it a better choice for those seeking enhanced picture quality and gaming performance. Pay the extra $300 for the Hisense U7NAU if you care about better picture & gaming. Just want a big, good-enough screen on a budget? Go TCL.
U7NAU has 300 local dimming zones.
Ref: https://www.gadgetguy.com.au/hisense-u7nau-first-look-mini-l…That review doesn't seem to indicate the size of the TV being tested. I would say it's the 55" or 65" if it only has 300 zones.
Thanks, where is this TCL deal?
Wouldn't it be better to compare to a C755?
I've seen a lot of people saying that the US / international version of the U7NAU is actually a lot better than the version we get in Australia, as well as a lot of QA issues with products here. Not sure how accurate this is, but i'd probably be leaning towards the C745 - Google TV is also significantly better than VIDAA IMO.
If you use a Google TV/Chromecast device then the OS on the TV doesn't really matter hey? Main thing I worry about with Hisense is QA, I've seen new TVs in meeting rooms at work stop working suddenly.
The Hisense U7NAU has some really good reviews online.
https://au.pcmag.com/tvs/105488/hisense-55u7n - know its the 55" inch, assume similar feedback for the 75 inch 🙂
Apparently the 75" uses an ADS Pro panel vs VA. Worse contrast ratios but better viewing angles according to RTINGS if this applies to the Aussie models though, which I'm not sure.
Good TV 144hz ADS Pro Panel TV (IPS like)
https://hisense.com.au/au/en/AUD/product/75U7NAU/75%E2%80%B3…https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/u7n-u7-u75n < 75" Panel specs
Close to IPS good viewing angles unlike "VA Panels" on a 55, 65 and 85" versions of the same TV the 75" uses a "ADS Pro Panel"
ADS Pro and IPS panels are both types of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology, and they offer similar strengths in terms of wide viewing angles and good color reproduction. However, ADS Pro generally boasts slightly improved brightness and color accuracy, while IPS is known for its typically faster response times, particularly in fast-motion scenarios
Yep, ADS panels are nothing like the traditional IPS panels that were a bleeding mess. I have a QN90A and think it's fantastic. Excellent black uniformity and peak brightness.
Be aware that VIDAA, different from google TV, has only VIDAA appstore where the apps available are limited.
You would be wise to use a Chromecast with Google TV 4K USB stick or amazon Fire stick max 4k with this TV :)
Thanks for letting me know that VIDAA still sucks. Ive got a 7yo hisense and keen to upgrade to something new, but i guess it wont be hisense.
is the 65" TCL mini led for $1600 a good deal?
NO .. its VA bad viewing angles and motion blur with fast movement
only the 75" is uses a 144hz "ADS Pro Panel" (IPS like)
The 55" 65" an 85" use "VA Panels"
https://hisense.com.au/au/en/AUD/product/75U7NAU/75%E2%80%B3…I got one of these, a 65" c845, and highly recommended. Excellent picture, makes me think my OLED wasn't worth it at all as this looks just as good. OS is decent, viewing angles are good, can watch comfortably from the kitchen on a 45 degree angle without noticing any issues. Haven't noticed any motion blur with games but I do use the game mode for them which I think reduces motion blur. Sound is even decent, wouldn't bother with a sound bar or surround sound if it is a secondary TV.
85 is cooler
The price isnt though 🙂
suppose so
Waiting for c755 for a while. This or TCL 75C755?
I've decided to wait
Are there any C755's left in stock? Seems like they're all gone
I suspect this might be the case, hopefully one more round of C855 deals but usually don't get any this late in April. There's definitely still C855 stock though.
I'd wait too. Next gen TCL mini LED is going to have a big increase in zones.
I have the U7NAU 65 inch. Fantastic TV. Compared it to the TCL 700 series QLED in the shop, this absolutely destroys it being Mini-LED. No comparison. Great buy, highly recommend.
I paid ~$1500 for the 65 inch around a year ago and have no regrets. Initially was worried about VIDAA OS instead of Google OS but it works really well, has all the major apps and is very snappy. You can always add a Chromecast or Streamer if you really need Google.
This is a steal, suspect making way for the 2025 models.
I have to agree, I also have the U7NAU 65 inch and the picture is really good, excellent TV and $1273 is a nutty price for the 75. Check out RTINGS review of the TV, its one of their favourites for the year model.
I'm waiting on the 2025 U8G in the 85, very impressed with the early specs, but will wait till they release it and then consider the reviews before pulling the trigger.
Don’t do it man, it’s only a tv
Lol dark
Anyone comment how when watching sport (either basketball or soccer) if there is any motion blur?
Ths 75" is not a VA pannel so it should be fine for sports
More worried about the tech. I'm in the same boat. Looking for a 75+ tv, but i rally needs to do sports well. Heard not so great things about the TCLs.
These aren't available until June so I doubt JB etc will price match.
I just got the 85" version yesterday, really happy with the quality of it but that size is out almost everywhere and doesn't have the bargain price of the smaller models.
Delivery says mid May, not June
The price has reduced to 1152, no brainer to get one if you are looking for 75" TV now. Ordered one, delivery date shows 16th May. Hope they honour it.
I just ordered one thank you Happy Easter
Was about to buy last night but thought I might try price-match at TGG today to get it sooner. Woke up this morning to see $121 cheaper and couldn’t risk it going out of stock. Bought.
Replacing my $997 Panasonic 50” ST50 Plasma from 2013 that stopped working 2 weeks ago.
My old ST60 is still going strong at my parents in-law's place, fond memories of that tv.
My 58S20A still going strong, Made in Japan, was a cheap buy 2nd hand for $30 years ago. But very tempted by this.
My Pana 55 is still kicking along!
If you really care about the image, be aware that Hisense have a knack for selling different TVs in our market with the same model names. So online reviews are basically useless.
They did that with prior models where our TVs had way more blooming than the overseas model due to less zones.
Get into JB, have a look at the display units and decide for yourself. I think they are absolutely bang for buck at this price. 65" panels may not be the same with 75". So spot the display with 75".
I have 2 Hisenses and don't regret them for the price point. They're good value. But their practice and lack of care for our market is appalling.
Thanks grabbed one today on the further drop!
Went to JB this morning. Lady was ready to price match however said no stores had stock . Offered the Store display unit. However passed on that and ordered at appliances online. Delivery 21st May.
Jb will price match but won’t give free delivery.
Is this the model that's had different spec compared to the US version?
Not sure of the difference in components used but the US version uses Google TV OS, whereas the AU version uses Vidaa 7 OS.
It's gone back up to $1273 again.
Just asked for their best price on chat and was offered (and bought) for $1152.
Same.. no stick though, expected in 2 weeks.
Super disappointed. Asked for an update on the order and got the same story that this model has been discontinued and is superseded. Not sure why they took my order if they couldn't fulfill it. Offered the replacement model (75UXAU) for $3070….
What would be a suitable wall mount unit for this tv? Would the one AO selling "Vogel's Large Fixed TV Wall Mount - Black TVM3605B" work and/or is there some cheaper option out that there that can be used on this tv? Saw some cheaper ones but not sure if they can take this one on.
The Hisense 75U7NAU TV weighs approximately 28.5 kgs without the stand - ensure whichever bracket you choose can support that weight.
Also ensure you purchase suitable screws / bolts depending on the type of wall the TV is being mounted to (brick, gyprock etc.).TVM3605B will do 75kgs no problem and fit the Hisense 400x400 vesa mount.
I would be more worried about the wall. Make sure it's going through a stud and not just the gyprock.
Ordered at $1152, asked chat and they were happy to honour this price
Nice! 🙂
I ordered this TV on the 20th.
..just contacted online support looking for an update on delivery,"Unfortunately this item has recently been superseded by Hisense late last week and we are no longer receiving any more stock of this item as we were expecting. You can swap to an in-stock alternative or we can cancel the order for a full refund"
😑
Oh no, was afraid of this. Not canceling though, fingers crossed.
So did anyone actually manage to get one of these? I ordered the 75" and 85" and both were cancelled today
Just got the phone call, Saying they cant supply, tried to sell me an alternative but i passed and asked for a refund
Yeah just got a call. Was offered the TCL 75 p7K at same price but I got no idea on that one.
Rubbish tv, only qled, not mini LED
Yeah I did some research. Said no thank you and got a refund.
They canceled mine today too.. :(
They cancelled both my 85 and 75 so they done this one for $2800 coming Saturday
https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/product/tcl-85-inch-c7k-…
I just got an email update this morning that my TV will be delivered on the 21st of May.
I got the same thing (with the somewhat concerning title 'Important information about your delivery'). No phone call about cancellation, so fingers crossed they're fulfilling at least some orders…
Im guessing you paid $1273 and not $1152?
Did you order anything else in addition to the tv, or just the tv?
I bought just the tv for $1152
Got a phone called and was cancelled. Was offered TCL P7K (currently $1500 at JB) but it's terrible value compared to the Hisense.
Unfortunate but I kinda expected this. Offer was too good to be true.
Is it worth it over the sub $1k 75 inch TCL?
