Don't understand the downvotes, there are very valid concerns. It's not about got cool your car will look with this thing attached, it's about how well it will work keeping your phone in place and visible
I've got the older version of this in both of my cars, for a couple of years. Was so sick of the fiddly crap that attached to the windscreen and the air vents.
It is a quality product and is really set and forget. Magnets are as strong as you'll get and there were self adhesive magnet rings in the pack if you don't have the iPhone magsafe crap already.
Find the best position before sticking it to your dashboard after cleaning the surface carefully then just enjoy the convenience.

Also won't the dash leave a permanent circle discolored mark due to lack of sun exposure where the mount is stuck on?

I broke the air vents of my previous car with it. I'm staying away from air vents.
@Ooops: I scratched mine. They are not meant to have weight hanging off them and the phone blocks the air flow.

Apparently it comes with ferromagnetic self adhesive discs that you stick on the back of your phone or phone case.
Or you have a case that has it built in.
This is the way with anything MagSafe.
Or you can get a phone case with the ring built in, or stick the spare rings onto the inside of any case.
So how would you take it off when you're not keen on having it anymore?
I just removed mine earlier this week.
Used nylon line 0.6mm.
The adhesive sticker was stuck pretty tight.
Any residue?
Yeh not too bad to remove it. Used thumb to roll the bits off

No off colour mark. I mounted mine vertically on piano black plastic in an area where it got minimal sunlight
Would not recommend these dash mount ones unless you can't avoid it. If your car vents suit, these from ali express are excellent TOPK Magsafe Mount I've bought multiple for friends and family as they're so solid and cheap.
Come with a ring to fix to your phone if you don't have a magsafe case.
I have been using the old model over 2 years now, and have recommended to many of my friends. This is really really good, and the magnets are strong enough to hold any phone. Highly recommended
Like others here, I’ve had one in my car for at least 2-3 years. I had it stuck on the back of my in car screen and has been great. Always stayed stuck in place and magnets great for phone, not great for cheap cases that were too thick. Never had a problem until recently when it took a heavy knock while cleaning the car, so this came at the perfect time. Very neat and tidy compared to others and I never liked the air vent ones as they block the cold/heat and made my phone cold/hot.
how strong is the magnet when you go over any bumps in the road?

-how reliable are they in the hot sun.. since there is concern that they will eventually just fall off.
-glue will leave permanent mark or a circle mark will be on the dash forever after you take it off.
-also the glue type is only usable once, so no good if you made a mistake in choosing the location to place it.
I prefer the ones that stick on the air vent or the wind shield..
which is easier to change location and leaves no permanent mark
