Cashback terms and exclusions

          Now that they've patched nearly all of the exploits (~75% off) I'll have to start looking at cashback again. I used to buy RTX cards before sellers caught on for reselling, as they were massively below RRP after cashback.

          For $130 delivered for the 1.3x2.3m shed it is outstanding. The instructions are terrible and it took me two days to build it mostly on my own. It’s not really worse than the last garden shed I bought from Bunnings that is a similar size but cost around $500 that I thought wasn’t worth the money.
          Mind you it cost me another $400 to build thanks to local council fees due to requiring a planning permit in a heritage zone and a building permit for putting it in the front yard forward of the house.

    I have to lodge a claim everytime I try to do cashback with TopCashBack. Whatever tracking mechanisms they use compared to ShopBack and CashRewards is poor.

      I've had issues with TCB / Shopback and Temu for most of my orders. They do generally come through once they're reported. However my last order with Shopback cashback I actually used Shopback's app with iOS and it went through the apps internal browser to Temu, logged in and processed the sale that way and it worked perfectly. Going to attempt similar with this deal!

      Temu use an in-house affiliate network and it's notorious for being dodgy at tracking to the point you think it's intentional. All the cashback providers have to use it.

      TEMU is the only problem I've had with topcashback, did not track, and also apparently often get's rejected. I read through every single reason why they may reject the cashback made sure none of it applies to me, but still didn't track. I think TEMU is more to blame as their requirements are so stringent

    I swear I make these massive temu / aliexpress orders and see these 40% cashbacks two days later.
    Before you ask aliexpress has so many good rgb options for pc building, temu is just for junk like shower racks.

        I find it's 50/50. Aliexpress has a greater range, but Temu often has stuff that is better & cheaper.

        Like a replacement belt for a washing machine, that one went to Aliexpress. But some brass hose fittings, that went to Temu

        Or glasses with tinted lenses. Ali has them for $4 each, while Temu had a 6 pack for $7

          Temu also has weird promotions that don't really make much sense but sometimes they give new accounts free gifts which can include some electronic appliance that is still $20 on aliexpress and the kind of product you see dropshipped on some kids shopify page for $80. I've gotten the little nebula astronaut guy and some keyboard for free, just to pawn off to the younger siblings as a little gift. As you say sometimes certain dollar store products tend to be cheaper than aliexpress so I just go that way for extra value and meet a minimum shop.

    Problem is you can't stack with coupons. Most Temu coupons are around 30-40% off guaranteed. Cash back and risk of not tracking makes this a poor deal

    I bought something last 40% cb deal and it didn't track. Lodged a claim, not sure if I want to do it again just in case it doesn't pay out

      I had a non-tracked one with TopCashback/Temu early last month. I reported it as missing, but no update and I'm nervous about buying again.

      I know it's dumb to do, but I wouldn't have bought the items if I thought they wouldn't track. In many TopCashback transactions, I've only had one Amazon, two Temu (both times I've used it), and a Shein order not track - everything else has.

    Try to change your device settings to ensure tracking success and use a browser (my preferred choice). I don't purchase through Temu app or Topcashback app. See my settings for any device (android/iphone/ipad/computer) to ensure tracking success:

    For me, I use a browser (Chrome mobile browser for example) to open goods that I want to buy in many tabs. I put them into cart, then remove them from cart. Login Paypal (if you use it) and login Topcashback website. Click Temu link and start shopping. Copy paste the title of the products that I want to buy in Temu Search to find them OR find them from Temu suggestion as they will appear as I scroll down the products list. Temu remembers the products that I have removed from the cart and will show them again.

    After putting the products into cart, pay with Paypal (if you use it). Done. If only do this in short time, usually I don't need to login Paypal anymore and just pay straightaway. If it's too long like 15 minutes for example, Paypal will ask for login again.

    If we use Topcashback/Cashrewards/Shopback app in android, I think it uses Chrome custom tab (android system webview). It's the reason why I change the Settings in Chrome mobile browser when I want to get cashback.

    If we use ipad/iphone for example, I think the cashback apps use "Safari browser". All browsers in ipad/iphone can only use Webkit engine which is basically just like another Safari skin … If we use Chrome browser in ipad/iphone, it's not using its own browser engine, but can only use Webkit engine as Apple doesn't allow any other engine (except in EU).

      If you use Chrome mobile browser for Temu shopping in android and have installed Temu app, it's better to uninstall Temu app because chrome mobile browser will open Temu app …

      can use Temu credit that will be deducted from your cashback amount, but I am not sure about Afterpay as I had the same question. I did pay all with debit card to reduce the risk of not tracking. Although still after one hour is not tracked yet. There is no where in their terms and condition about Afterpay so I feel it should be fine but no one knows

      Yes GST needs to be charges for an Australian businesses and also overseas retailers for low value purchases (below $1000 AUD). Just google it

    I thought maybe Temu just didn’t like Firefox, so this time I tried using Chrome. No extensions installed, disabled all privacy restrictions for Temu website. Logged into Temu, TopCashback, and PayPal in advance, emptied the cart, followed all the instructions. And guess what? My cashback still wasn’t tracked! (profanity) (profanity) (profanity)

            @Pigey: Happy to say my claim for the previous 50% deal finally just got approved and paid out with TCB.

            Previous claim with them was approved too (though much quicker). Never had any luck with Shopback and Temu claims, don't think I've tried with Cashrewards.
