While other colours are still $249, this one is $169. Not my favourite colour, but hey it's $80 cheaper… Can't argue with that…

    The megaboom sounds fairly good and will comfortably create background music for hanging out at the beach or a backyard. It won’t really do “a loud party” music volume without sounding distorted. It is quite large, bigger (and consequently better sounding) than the JBL Charge.

    A good feature is being able to sync up to 50 Booms (any model) together. If your friends have UE boom this is a good enough feature to buy over another brand.

        Wonderboom sounds much worse; has a worse battery, but is much more portable. I wouldn’t buy a wonderboom personally but if you’ve ever listened to music on laptop speakers and been able to tolerate it you might be fine.

            @brocky2006: It’s a huge upgrade on a Wonderboom yeah. But it is much bigger and heavier so I’d probably see one in person if you want portability.

      Really? Better than the JBL charge 5? Side by side i preferred the Charge for the bass especially.

    For reference i got the MB3 for 129 while still selling for 220 a while back., Its been great.
    The addition of USB-C charging is a nice upgrade too.

    This is a good buy imo
