Apparently my money isn't good enough for EB Games unless I pay them $50 year.
You should have seen the mess when these initially dropped for PAID members - site not loading, payment errors, 2 hours virtual queues, etc.
Oh I saw it, was all over Facebook and the subreddits. Good on EB for cashing in on FOMO I guess!
Saw an article mentioning something along the lines of EB planning to exclude game preorders for non-plus members too.
Not entirely sure how truthful it is, but if so, how out of touch can you be?
They'll do it with Collector's Editions and stuff they have any exclusivity on, but on normal games everyone would go to JB.
In my opinion, EB Exclusives don't have the value to justify the higher price they sell them for.
@InsertCrow: I don't think Collector's Boxes and Editions are ever a value proposition, though. Die hard fans would want them either way.
@Erwark: Oh sorry, what I meant in terms of value was DLC codes for preordering and stuff of that nature.
Statues and the likes are a different kettle of fish, but I still find it shitty they'll restrict those who aren't paying for their subscription the ability to order them. IF that's what they choose to do
