    stick with the OG nespresso

vertuo sucks… taste aside, you are stuck to using (expensive) nespresso branded pods.

    • i used to have the og lattissima and used 2 capsules for each morning coffee. the machine died and i was recently looking to replace it with the vertou as their 80ml pods are cheaper than using 2 og pods.

but it seems vertou hardware is not as reliable as the og ones from what i read online…

  • I switched from the OG pods to vertuo and have been happy with Vertuo having used it for probably 5yrs now. Makes bigger coffees and better lattes

  • hmmm looking to get a lattissima. the OG pod model is same price. but is like 8 years old now. this one has the new pods which doesnt have 3rd party… or should i just get a superauto instead?

    • Try both pods in store a few times. Find the taste profile you prefer. First few times I tasted Vertuo I hated it. Ended up taking a gamble and subscribed to get the machine free and found the taste I like.

      • yeh the problem with the vertuo pods are that you are tied to nesspresso. the OG pods I can experiment with dif pods and some brewers offer their brews in the OG podsso I get more choices. lol why is the OG still so expensive….

        • I've tried other brands with the OG machine but nespresso taste the best. Starbucks by nespresso is also good but it's also genuine nespresso. Moccona is shit as are any plastic pods.
Vertuo makes large 230ml coffees from their mug pods and once you add milk you get a large coffee for around $1.30. Taste is almost as good as a Cafe coffee and enjoyed in the convenience of your own home with little effort. I share the carafe pod with my wife as it's over 500ml for under $2

  • just to confirm, this sucks?

    • It only sucks when you can't afford Nespresso pods and have to rely on third party ones. Nespresso offers world class service (free coffee at any of their Boutique shop) and large varieties of flavours.
