  • Wonder how the Phulka Roti is? Competition to Katoomba. Although different products.

    • I haven't tried it but pic looks like it's pita bread type roti. The Katoomba one (which I love) is layered and fluffy. Completely different product i think.

    • We tried a month back and it was good.. first time with frozen pulka…

How does it compare to home made standard roti? Is it edible or better than edible?

        • +1

Pretty close to what we make at home… With a good curry didn't make much of a difference..

    • Haldiram’s roti is a chapati flatbread type roti, Katoomba’s roti is a Malaysian roti canai with layered flaky goodness.

Isn't Katoomba just round puff pastry sheets? Tastes great but feels like a bit of a cheap take to call it a paratha

    • It’s pretty good - Katoomba is a bit hard / crispy - this is soft in comparison like Roti is normally

  • How's the Naan? Does it give off a good char flavour like real naan?

    • Yea it’s very good. Better than most Indian restaurants, but restaurants have improved. 10 years back 90% restaurants’ naan were poor quality (bland Roti/chapati like being sold as Naan)

  • Tried the 1.28kg tandoori garlic naan and found the garlic taste too subtle. I had way better garlic naan before.

    • +1

buying frozen or refrigerated Nans are waste of money I think

      • +1

        Naansense!

    • We put some melted garlic butter on top just before eating

  • onion bhajis and samosas compatible with air fryer?

    • Samosas yes. Not sure if onion bhaji would taste good air fried.

    • Been air-frying them for a while. Perfectly compatible.Tip: thaw them a bit before air-frying.

  • Paneer Onion Parathas are awesome, will stock up.

  • I miss the Sabrini Paneer Tikka Samosas :(

    • What happ to those - can’t seem them at Cole’s anymore

  • Is this available in any Vic stores? Unable to see any stock in my local Coles store, thanks

    • Yep, might be store specific. I've got the Punjabi Samosa and Cocktail Samosa at one of my locals.

  • The tandoori garlic naan is great! Add some ghee and flaky salt YUM
