I think "better than trash" is expected. I was wondering if this was trash.
It's got some inbuilt onkyo brand 2.1channel subwoofer, its not great but not trash either.

Yeah I just saw it right next to the C755 and was a huge jump between the two. On it's own maybe it would have looked great.

I can't really recommend the C655. Found it incredibly disappointing in person.
If you just need a cheap TV, buy the Falcon U64.
Otherwise wait for sales or increase your budget to accommodate the C755 or better.Yeah I had a look at it sitting right below the C755 and it was a night and day difference. C855 looks slightly better than C755 to my eye.
Yeah the jump from C655 to the C745 and C755 is massive.
And given Ffalcon is a sub brand of TCL, running Google TV, and how it looks compared to the C655, I'd say it's better to save the money.C745 Pro and C755 is roughly just $300-$500 more too but that's a lot to some people
is c655 not that great in picture quality compared to the 755 or 855?
To me it was a very big difference, but also big difference in price.

I bought both 85c855 and 75c655 during black friday.
Coming from hisense, I like them both.
Sound is better on c655 because of small subwoofer installed behind the TV. I am using soundbar though for much better quality.
C855 is amazing, with awesome deeb blacks.
The only issue with c855 is the screen is glossy and you see reflections pretty much all the time.
I'm seeing that I'm watching c655 more than c855 now.

Sound is better because of TV subwoofer.
I however use soundbar anyways separately. You do get option to use both soundbar and TV speakers together, which is sometimes a lot better depending on content

How would this compare to Sony's range. I use mine mostly to watch free to air tv. After a TV that can turn on without lag time. Got a samsung but takes like 7 seconds to boot up.

is c655 not that great in picture quality compared to the 755 or 855?
What's the audio like on this TV? I find that's the area budget TV's skimp on the most. I'm not expecting 7.1 surround sound from a $895 TV.
