no sd card would suck butt. size looks great for handheld watching though
The articles says something about expandable storage up to 1TB for this model… Can anyone valid if this has a micro sd slot or not?
None
This model no sd card new model has sd card
The Y700 with the 8Gen 3 (the model in the link) does not have MicroSD.
The Y700 with the 8 Elite (the news link) has MicroSD, is not released yet.
Hmmm this would be a great emulation station machine
wouldn't a deck be better? i agree that this would be a better all rounder though
like cabbots?
the promo code is not working for me
Does IFPL7YU work?
AFAU75 doesn't work, IFPL7YU brings it down to US $324.89
Yeah idk why it doesn't work? I tried it on a second account and was able to checkout with AFAU75.
Are there other(smaller) codes like IFPL7YU?
The AFAU codes don't work for me
Must be an error on the 2025 model when it comes to wifi doesnt mention wifi 6 or 7 which im pretty sure are on this current model.
And article on new model calls 2025 model not 2026 release date may this year??
according to chinese site current is Y700 GEN 3 & new to be released is Y700 GEN 4
main difference Y700 GEN 4
Better processor
Thinner
Single rear camera
Bigger battery
SD card Support
Some sort of AI BSim holding for better battery tech in a 8" form factor. recently returned my iplay 60 mini pro for that reason.
This is pretty much the best in the market. Every other company just gave up on this size
I read that phone size devices have now got better battery tech. Better capacity and size than mini tablets. So i expect we will see tabs coming out eventually with far better specs when they catch up.
I don't see this tablet getting as much attention as flagship phones in terms of tech.
It's a niche size to begin with, it hasn't even gotten the oled upgrade on the upcoming version. Lenovo uses this same 8.8" screen on the legion go which isn't getting an OLED upgrade nor is doing extraordinary well in the handheld space either.
I wouldn't hold my breath on lenovo making ground breaking upgrades to this mainly because of its niche market.
@krisspy: Yes that's the crux of it. You have a 6-7" phone [1] with a 8000mah battery now but these 8" tabs are still rocking 5-5500mah. It's old tech..

Why not get 11th Generation iPad? for A$475?
Very different products.
Mini tablet - regular tablet - large tablet
Each has a different use case.I didn't realize that there was a distinct market for the mini tablets as assumed most migrated to the Plus / Ultra phablet versions of the phone or to the larger tablets
Dont like anything Apple
The iPad only has 60hz refresh rate, whilst this is 165hz, MUCH smoother user experience.
Nice deal but new model mentioned starts shipping in May.
https://www.giztop.com/lenovo-legion-y700-2025.htmlRead the original post clearly mentions new model
Yes but its not mentioned that "2026" model ships in a matter of days.
Literally in 1st line of Ops link.
The new generation Lenovo Legion Y700 2025 is set to launch in May 2025
Everyone buy 1 or 2 each to bring team Ozbargain over 10,000
lol anyone ever tried using keyboard case on a 8inch tablet?
Bit bigger than ipad mini?
Anyone use this for moonlight streaming?
I moonlight stream from my laptop to webos tv
Webos tv is not a 8.8’ tablet
Didn't know this was a thing and apparently it offers 2-3ms latency compared to Steam Link which has like 20ms latency (felt like more like 200ms+ latency when I last tried it). Seems to require an nvidia gpu though so guess I'll be going back to them when I decide to upgrade.
Nvidia stopped supporting GameStream, but everything still works through Sunshine. Sunshine supports AMD, Nvidia, and Intel Arc too. It's head and shoulders above any other streaming implementation (console streaming, Steam Remote Play, etc.). Super low-latency, really customisable, and just a really great ootb experience.
I have done with the 2023 model streaming from sunshine. Works flawlessly.
Probably worth adding "tablet" to the title. Also the link didn't take me directly to the product page. The 512gb seems even better value.
Link takes me directly to the product page so idk what you're seeing.
onesec on my phone was messing with the link. Not a problem with the link, thanks for checking.
The Legion listed here still better priced but I thought I'd share this just recently released, maybe something to keep and eye on?
ALLDOCUBE iPlay 70 mini Ultra Gaming Tablet 8.8'' 2.5K 144Hz Snapdragon 7+Gen3 20GB RAM (12+8 Virtual) 256GB Android 14 7300mAh
Too bad it's US$349. I was excited when Alldocube announced it last year until I saw the price, but it makes sense given the specs.
They're releasing the iPlay 60 with a Super AMOLED screen. Unfortunately it'll still using the much weaker Snapdragon 660. Having the OLED in one of the more recent tabs, even a G99 one would be awesome.
been burnt by a non mainstream chinese tab before. never again
Really nice to see this come down,
Personally I'll wait for that sdcard model.
My p11 pro (2020) still kinda going strong for watching things lol
New model (gen 4) is available now (retail price):
