  I would recommend the originals instead, because the HD remasters have mixed reviews and sadly, players are reporting lots of bugs and also censorship of the original games.

  The first 3 original games all have very positive reviews and they are all on sale right now. You can get them for a fraction of the price of the HD versions, which don't look a whole lot better anyway, because the originals still look gorgeous imo.

  If you want to get into the series very cheap, just to check it out, I would suggest trying Commandos 2, it's a great game and for less than $4, it will give you many hours of fun. But the first game and the expansion (Beyond the Call of Duty) are also excellent games, that are well worth playing too 👍
