    • @lordvorta I added these through smart life in home assistant. Smart life app provides scenes like reading/working. How do I find what is the config of those scenes and how do I set them up in home assistant.

I checked state attributes from developer tools of HA, but couldn’t get same settings.

  • anybody got this and successfully connected it to Google Home? I've got it all set up on Tuya and it's not being recognised by Google. I've got other devices on Tuya that are connected to Google with no problems.

    • I added my light to Smart Life and connected it to Home Assistant without any issues. But, when I tried linking it to Google Home, it didn’t work.

      • Not just me then! Back to Aldi they go

    • Same. First smart device I have bought, so wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong. I was going crazy trying to figure it out.

    • It didn't at first but I was in the Google Home app today and all 21 and the groups I made were in there.

  • Went to a few ALDIs in VIC but no luck, even though it says in stock on their site.

A bunch of regular light bulbs though.

    • I suspect delay in delivery to some stores. A friend noted that none in store at their store up Newcastle (NSW) way.

      • Yeah could be delayed, might just have to pop around there again over the next few days!

    • Same to Perth. Cannot see any of them.

They're in stock at my local today Bundoora, Vic ..bought 25 for my new house

      • Thanks for the heads up! I'll head out as well and hopefully my local has them in stock.

Maybe they were just coming in with the Saturday special buys instead.

        • Yes, I asked the lady Wednesday they'll only release special item buys on Wednesday or Saturday, that's why I waited to today..
The guy couldn't find them as they were between the pots that got released today. So have a good look.

@Bertus: Yep similar at mine in Pakenham, they were right at the back hidden behind these large baskets.

But got them now, thanks so much for commenting! Made my whole week, hope you have a good one 👌

@mangobango: No worries glad I could help, just make sure you got the right ones as they look very similar between RGB and plain white ones.
              Have a good one too!!

I found a few today in my local store 4350

  • How do we create a group in Tuya app and then change the colour of all lights together? I bought few lights and created a room in app but still there is no option to change all at once.

    • I use Brilliant Smart app instead of Tuya, and it works great in grouping lights together etc.

      • Thanks for your message. If you could help me with another question please; lights are now registered in Tuya app. To connect these in Brilliant app, how to I bring these back to discoverable mode?

        • +1

If you are already setup in Tuya app (and are happy with the interface) then lets stick to that. In Tuya app, select room and create a new one (say Kitchen) then when you select kitchen, you will be able to add the devices that you want to be in controlled in kitchen. May be that's easier than moving them to Briliiant.

However, if you prefer Brilliant interface then you will need to reset all the lights first which you can do by quickly turning on/off 3-5 times and then will start blinking which means that they are in discovery mode. So from here, just follow the prompt on Brilliant app.

Let me know how you go!

          • @IMadeYouReadThis: No luck with resetting. I tried many times, lights doesn't go back to the flashing stage. Instructions say to turn on and off 5 times, I tried few times on different lights, none of them went back to flashing stage. Time to return these back and buy some from Bunnings.

I will be returing 12 x lights to Aldi Melton today, so anyone interested, can buy from there. These are the RGB smart ones.

            • @ShinyDiamond: Never had an issue with Resetting. Make sure you are doing it correctly i.e.5 times with quick on/off (once per second) vr. slow On/Off (give it 2 secs between). It can be tricky sometimes. Try both methods.

            • @ShinyDiamond: yeah at times it can be annoying, I wish I was close to Melton - would have loved to get 10 of those.
