Might be even cheaper with code 'NEW' with extra 15% off .. or 'DEAL' .. or 'NEWAPP' and Topcashback for 6% back.

Bought one at full price a few months and it's a pretty good duffle .. the Voyager duffle has a lighter weight material (compared to the standard duffle) which is much better to use unless you are trekking to Base Camp.

I use mine as a daily backpack to work for my office job. It has a laptop pocket but only thin padding.

Edit .. looks like almost all North Face bags are on sale.

    32L … Cute

It is an overpriced man bag!

I don't get it .. it's basically a backpack. Not everybody, buys everything from Kmart with the cheapest brands. Not sure why you think it's overpriced.

  • Do we have any other suggestions for 4 week travel? — planning to use the backpack as a carry on or a personal item.

    • Try the 42L Voyager .. or one of the wheeled bags. Check dimensions for carry on.

There's a version of the 42L in a re-grind color that is more expensive but looks cool, downside is the heavier material though :(

I bought the 40L Traveller for my wife and myself and swear by it. I like it because it has

      • 3 ways of carrying it - side/top carry handles, [concealed] shoulder strap, [concealed] back pack straps
      • a zipped, padded side compartment for a laptop or tablet that is easy to get at, slide in, slide out
      • an internal layout that functions like a carry-on suitcase and opens up well for easy access
      • dimensions that fit carry-on rules
      • compartments and zippered areas that are very convenient

I used to be a traditional backpack guy from way back but now that I am older, I find this type of backpack much more useful.

Bought 2 of the Small (50L) ty OP for only $100ish each using NEWAPP for 20% off

    • Got a link please?

        • I wouldn't mind dropping $100 for this, but are North Face duffles actually any good? I had a adidas duffle bag ($50), rains duffle ($150?) and recently got a LSKD duffle (40+Litres) free on a promo. All poor quality. Is the material thick?
Looks like a good bag but i dont want another repeat

@AsahiConnect: ASOS has free returns. I have the XL duffle and its very nice.

          • +1

@AsahiConnect: The duffle voyager is lighter and thinner material. I think it is suitable for an everyday backpack

The usual duffle is very thick .. personally too thick for my liking.

What is this? A duffle for ants!?

    • Basically a backpack .. there's always been an XS duffel. The Voyager duffle is a new version that's better to also use as a backpack.

  • How’s the padding at the back? (When worn as a backpack)

    • +1

Not great and also hot with the waterproof material.

The laptop sits in a sleeve and ends up on the side against your back.

I'm not using it for hiking .. just back and forth to the office on the car.

      • Thanks mate

        • To properly answer your question, the padding between the laptop and your back is pretty thin .. maybe about 3-5mm thick and reasonably soft.

The 42L Yoyager Duffle in red is also available for $151.13.

  • I'm wondering how all these options compare to the Osprey Farpoint 40 in terms of quality and convenience (not price)

  • Thanks for the post. I was intrigued as I recently got a cheapo duffel off amazon for days I run at lunch in the office. However after watching one review on YT, it appears the shoe compartment is very tight and I suspect my running shoes wont fit - guess I'll skip this purchase!

Thought I'd chip in. Overnight they've changed it so the code DEAL works on web browser, not just in app. So you can get an additional 6% cashback via TopCashBack
