I was looking for a tennis racquet for my kid and came across this one for three bucks.

Probably no better than the $9 ones from Kmart or Big W, so delivery does kill it a bit, but potentially a saving to be had for people wanting to buy multiple racquets.

25in racquets are recommended for people who are 135 - 150cm tall

  Racquets like this are really only good for extreme beginners that aren't really going to learn to play tennis. Maybe just have a quick muck around.
  They make it very hard to play properly.

    yes, I imagine they're only good for recreational play

    my kid is turning 3 so I was actually looking for 19" racquets. I figure at his age the racquets are all similar

      Yeah at 3yo this would be fine. They'd be all the same.
      Until they're a bit older you just want to get the colour they like best.
      I'd actually say that once you get to 25inch is when you'd want to be getting something better. The terrible strings and the lightweight means you won't be able to hit well.
      Second hand is totally fine too.
