How have the likes of dick smith, catch of the day etc gone under and somehow sanity, a shop that no one ever bought from due to being insanely overpriced, still around lol

    • They are an online operation only. I used to work for them, it boggled my mind that people used to buy ridiculously overpriced CD s and DVDs that were 30%+ more expensive than JB, and ones where we would remove the discs from the cases, scratch all of them and get our dirty fingerprints all over them. Just a shit place to buy anything from, and an equally shit place to work.

We used to get 25% discount on everything, and even with staff discount it was still cheaper to buy stuff at Big W, Target and JB.

They would force us to sell disc repair kits for $5 with a 1000% markup, that resembled someone ejaculating into a clear bag and stapling it shut. And if we didn't they would stop giving us shifts.

      • Dam thats crazy, thanks for the insight. I remember the only reason i used to go into their stores was to listen to the music headphones they had on the walls.

  • Wow! I used to work for Sanity when I was a student. Back when they had physical stores around selling music CD's and movie DVDs.

    Damn, getting old.

  • How does Sanity still exist? The fact they are selling books now is wild.
