First post, bit of a cheat as the same deal was around back in Feb but it is live again. Better than a 3 pack of blades IMO, bit of an updated model from my last Oneblade unit anyway.

You 100% want the 14-step adjustment trimmer adaptor, which comes with the complete/premium kit, but maybe you can find an after-market one on AliExpress. I tell everyone this, because it makes all the difference…

    • +2

Yep. Great for trimming short beards to desired lengths

      • +5

That one says NOT for 360 versions, only for regular one blade

      • I been looking for one for my qp6530
        Can't seem to find..

    • +3

Just dont buy the blades from AliExpress, theres counterfit or whatever ones - I had one which actually cut me!

      • 100% agree. Visually they look fine but pull hair, grab skin and are unusable imo.

        • Are there any after-market blades, or we just suck it up and buy up when the OG is on special?

          • @mk8: Not that I have found. I have either found expensive and good ones, or cheap and nasty / painful.

    • +3

I've 100% never used the adjustment trimmer which I've had for years.

    • It looks so big and clunky compared to the smaller combs tho if all you want is 1-5mm…

  • +3

Anyone got one of these? Have the non-360 version, worth upgrading?

Edit: Good to see they finally include a USB cable… The chargers are 5v anyway lol

    • isnt 360 version the normal version with 360 blade ?

      • Yes. The "360" bit is only on the blade.
In this case just a different handle and package.

Lots of variety on global markets of how they package these with different handles, blades and comb combinations.

        • Oh I see, so I only need to change blades?

          • @Dyl: Bingo. Just look for the 360 blades.
            They fit on any handle.
It's only that some of the larger adjustable combs won't fit on them.

  • +1

Is this ok to trim the bush?

    • I use it for that all the time. Use the body guard attachment.

      • +1

the body guard attachment is not included in this deal. The "Face+body" version is currently $135.14 (apparently RRP $189)

    • +7

A hedge trimmer usually does a better job for that.

    • +7

      Try Ozito.

    • Yes but it's not safe for shaving the scrote without a guard.

    • Hedge trimmer probably quicker, up to you

    • How big of a bush? Might need a heavy hitter from hardware store if not maintained regularly

    • With the right attachment, yes. The attachment isn't in this deal by the looks of it.

That said, it will take a long time as these are quite weak.

    • +4

Depends on the bush and the height. You may need a ladder for larger bushes such as pittosporums or Lily pillys. If the bush is too high you may need to hire a professional with a boom or scissor lift as a ladder may not reach

  • +1

How close of a shave do you get? Like is it as good as a standard 4 blade razor.

I am looking for something USBC chargeable that I can trim my beard and get a clean shave around it.

    • +4

Not in my experience. I much prefer using my multi-blade blazer, quicker and closer. With the 360 I also have to keep going over spots which irritates my skin more.
Fwiw I only have stubbles, if you have full on thick beards the 360 may work better.

    • +1

      This isn't USBC though?

      • Sorry. USB. I just don't want 240v charging as I travel and don't want to bring a power adaptor.

        • These things last like a month on a charge. How long do you travel for? I have been taking mine regularly on 2 week holidays and never brought a charger

    • +1

Absolutely not, but I consider it "good enough". If you are a fast beard grower with coarse/dense facial hair, these will still leave you with a shadow. As a baby faced assassin, I actually want that, so these work perfectly for me.

    • +2

Close to, if you have a fast regrowth you might still want to stick with a blade.
I switched over to the OneBlade to get away from a wet shave all together, plus you can avoid using shaving cream etc

It's definitely a better device than the traditional electric shaver. There's pros and cons to both razors and this but I much prefer the OneBlade.

    • +2

It's a neat looking close shave but leaves you looking as if you can grow a beard still (it leaves extremely short hairs behind), which is good if that's what you're after. You don't suddenly look 10 years younger and baby-faced, but you do look like you've put in the effort to shave and it looks really neat.

It's not a full shave; you still need to use a razor after if you want the full baby-faced smooth skin look, but it's still a respectable finish if you're not after the smooth skin look. I use either just the Phillips, or Phillips + a straight edge, depending which look I'm after at the time (job interviews for example I find more success if I look a little older personally, so I won't use the straight edge).

    • +4

Hodl. I paid ~$110 for my Pro (same attachments but came with a hard case instead of soft pouch).
Saying that, performance wise they should be the same. Pro version has a better battery.

      • I just compared the "tech specs" on the Philips site and it looks like the non-pro may have a 1W motor vs 5.4W on the Pro series, not sure if it makes a practical difference. (listed under "max power draw")

    Mother's Day gift sorted

    • Lol

    • I already got your mum one for down there

    • lol

  • +1

    Would this handle pubes?

    • Yes but it'll chew up your sack if you don't use a guard

      • Good lord what an image 😭

    • Are they 70s pubes?

  • Is this better than an electric shaver or close to it ?
My old Philips 3 head shaver finally died and in need of a replacement.

How often do you need to replace the blades ?

    • +1

Yep. I hate electric shavers, I love this thing though and I usually only shave when I have a weeks or 2 weeks growth.

  • +1

I have, highly recommended. Better than the older model. I'm not super hairy though, so YMMV..

  • Decent deal, recommend OneBlade. $59.99 (Nov 18, 2024) lowest price.

  • I'm thinking of switching to an electric shaver after using double edged safety razor for years.

  • -1

Honestly this shaver is crap. I bought one to try for a 5 o'clock shadow, but results were consistently crap and just ended up throwing it in the bin. Nothing beats your proper shavers from Braun or Philips.

    • Should have given it to me. I love mine. Works great

  • Piggybacking off this to ask if anyone has found the perfect usb-c beard trimmer for travel? Has to be small, have an adjustable guard for beard length and a nose hair attachment.

I’ve spent a fair bit of time on Amazon, AliExpress and even TEMU but so far it eludes me.

    • This 🥴

      • Can’t publish the AliExpress link here but search for this:

“ NEW Xiaomi 4 in 1 Electric Nose Ear Hair Trimmer for Men Painless USB Rechargeable Sideburns Eyebrows Beard Hair Clipper Shave”

        Seems to fit the bill…

    • This thing is awesome. Cuts really close and Blades last a fair while.

Edit: sorry I don't use it as a bread trimmer only to shave but others say it works great with the length adaptor thing which this deal comes with

  • +1

Bought the original many years ago in a pharmacy in Paris as this is the only electric shaver they were selling. Have upgraded to a newer model since then and absolutely life changer as previously the Braun and Panasonic electric shavers I was using were a nightmare - pulling hair, not a clean shave etc.

    • I got one last time they were on sale and was blown away how good they are. Blades last ages too

  • +1

    It's giving Ryobi vibes

    • Thought this was ryobi one+ tool haha

  • Thanks for the reminder, I need to shave. These are great shavers. Surprised how will they work.

  • How does this compare to the electric bigger ones with the 3 round circles? Mine is on the way out.
Not much facial hair as an asian but still need to shave once a week.
