      HAHAHAAHAHAH no

    • HOLD HOLD

    • I wish! They could at least provide one sale per month for plus users, these offers are just getting more pathetic by the day.

where's my 3 free shipping labels a month - great for sending bulky parcels to WA, NT, FNQ and pocketing the postage paid

  • +1

I don't know if it's targeted but I sold a book on eBay yesterday and they offered a promo for a free postage label. Saved 14 bucks and just reused an old padded satchel.

  • Didn't know Aust Post had extra small. Now waiting for microscopically small.

    • We used to call them letters. ;)

    • Didn't know Aust Post had extra small. Now waiting for microscopically small.

That's the discounts for small sellers.

    • Its a new thing with eBay, but only available if you buy the eBay branded extra small sachels, which are $7.50 for 30 + delivery.

      • or free shipping if you buy certain order value (not sure, $100?)

        • $50 ish, but they only sell AP packaging and its not exactly value for money unless you exclusively use AP.

  • for option of Post Extra Small Satchel, will they verify packaging & add extra charge later if using own padded bag?

    • Probably?

    • Test it out and let us know hahahah

      • I just sent one out today with a very small 17x26cm satchel will keep you guys posted

        • tested same, will see.

the result may not be so quick, ebay used to charge back my account twice for postage label after half year due to "computer forgot !", so funny but true after I had to spend one hr to review statements.

          • @test8888: Have had the same where they charged me for postage weeks or months after I sent the items. I thought there must have been a free postage offer on but sadly there was not.

            • +1

@mdsh: what would be the worst they could charge? as far as Auspost knows you paid the $8.55 price for this Xsmall, so they just add $2.40 to make up the $10.95 for standard?

              • @Tanvry: $10.95 is the standard charge for small.

                • +1

@foxmulder: yes so that means in the worst case we get billed $2.40 more then?
Because xsmall is $8.55 standard charge.
So the total cost is under $7 and would still be cheaper than paying $10.95 outright

    Sendle? Pffft.

    • Been using them for years with no real issues other than them taking a bit too long to pickup from the drop off location near my house.
Have now switched to having them pickup from my house which they always do as organised, though probably not recommended if your an easy target for parcel pirates as they have like a 12 hour pickup window, though mostly they are picking mine up at 9-10 am.

      • +2

The real risk with sendle pick up is they don’t scan it immediately in front of you like when you dropped at Australia Post. From the time they picked up and doing the scanned parcels can get lost. Happened to me twice they rejected my claims but luckily i have videos to support my claims.

        • Same issue here. Sick of waiting for it to get picked up from the hub so I just went back to the newagent and grabbed the package back myself out of the tub. Then resent by Auspost and paid the extra 70 cents. The newasgent told me lots of people give up on Sendle.
Sendle didn't even investigate just eventually said package not found, too bad, when they went to pick it up a week later than it was meant to be picked up. Eventually got a refund from Sendle.
          Never used them since.

          • @Weshouldgetsushi: Same just dropped off some today to the newsagent and he said the guy hasn't been in 10 days to collect, pretty bad !

Also how to do pay the extra 70 cents ? through ebay or through Aus post ?

            • @solidussnake: This was about 3 years ago. I cancelled and refunded through Sendle. Though they had never charged me anyway (go figure?).
Then rebooked Auspost via ebay's promotion.

            • @solidussnake: Sendle has a 2day no pickup = free SLA. As with any service, you need to pick the one that's right for your location and be smart if you're going to use drop off's. Couriers don't have time to be running into shopping centres for packages..
But time and time again I hear people complaining (about any service ) and doing nothing about it. Sorry but if you're not willing to effect change yourself then what gives you the right to be disappointed with the service.

Too many Australians would prefer to turn a blind eye and choose 5je path of least resistance than holding businesses accountable so that services of all kinds may improve to a new standard of accept. The USA did this, not two billionaire megalomaniacs are having pillow fights in the oval office doing as they please with the country. Do most Americans care? No because in their little bubble it's not q problem. This is how dictatorships form. Australia isn't far behind, but 20+ million believe they're immune but there's so many liberties every citizen should be fighting for to peel back the damage, instead the government moves forward ensuring it is in control in order to manipulate at its will.
When will Australian's wake up and realise that they are not in control ane jwb3n5 been for a long time. That is not democracy. That is the beginnings of dictatorship.

              Wake up Australia !

Been using sendle for years saved me so much money, zero issues. Used it hundreds of times.

  • I have used $4.28 postage labels about 4 times now but I haven't seen the postage charges in my Payments>All Transactions in Seller hub yet - anyone knows what's going on?

    • first time use? don't worry it will come in 2-4 weeks or a few months later in worst case.

      • Yah, as Auspost cost in eBay is pretty much retail, I usually used MyPost Business.

    • ok, checking today, most postage label cost appears in 'All transactions' except those on 4-5 May for about 4 labels.
And the other thing is my monthly invoice usually doesn't have GST - thus I should see $3.89 but I see $4.28 - or my monthly invoice now includes GST inclusive labels with eBay fees still no GST, anyone knows what's going on?

  • Does anyone know if any newsagent can scan? If they did, I would consider switching. Band 4 auspost atm

  • Note: The Australia Post Standard Extra Small Satchel service should only be chosen if you are sending items in the new Australia Post Extra Small Padded Mailers, available via Australia Post or eBay.

Is everyone actually buying the Auspost satchel when sending it? It sounds like some aren't, but it seems to go through fine?

    • +1

I sent in a different bag using a red post box, and its been delivered, no issues (so far)
Might as well give it a try since you'll still pocket some discount even if they recharge you

      • +1

MPB will have this extra small satchel from July - and to those who use their own shipping material - they allow max weight of 250g - this probably why those parcels passed through.

    • It's a matter of a human intervention to catch the wrongly packaged mail

  • +1

Discount appears to have stopped working for me on the AusPost labels - anyone else?

    • +1

Same here. Hopefully just temporary glitch.

    • +1

Damn, I was just about to post it.

I've seen them cancel postage discount promos early in the past before

  • Of course I've not had a single eBay 250g sale, mostly because there's no point selling anything small on ebay unless you can sell it in volume, which little old me can't do

  • +2

I bought a bunch of these satchels so that I could use the 50% off during May and now they have stopped it 11 days early.

It's also still advertised on the eBay landing page as this 'New! Extra Small Flat Rate Satchels exclusive to eBay. Send your smaller items for less with the new Australia Post service. Extra 50% off in May!'

Yet when you click on the link to Learn More it has the extremely generous (not) 'Exclusive eBay Seller Discount: As a valued eBay seller, you will enjoy a discount of 10% off the recommended retail price (“RRP”) on this new service, making it even more affordable to send your smaller items across Australia.'

Shady practices by eBay as usual

    • I'm surprised they pulled the plug on this promo, as it wasn't like it was free postage. They should have done something like limit 10 per user instead.

It is annoying as I sold something for $5 discount as considered the postage was going to be 50% off, then went to create label and promo gone :(

The page this deal is link too has updated the end date, so at least we know now that it has officially ended early: "The Promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on Thursday 1 May 2025 to 18:45 (AEST) on Tuesday 20 May 2025 (“Promotion Period”)."

      • +1

Quite disappointing, I guess the promotion was to sell the extra small ebay postage, but the limit of the specific bags + introduction of Australia Post delivery fees meant very very few people actually used them. Instead, the promotion went to Sendle's existing 250g benefit.

    • same, thinking to return those x-small bags…

  • Don't get disheartened guys, even the promo has finished, you guys still can use it on eBay to those items that fit inside that extra small satchel and cost more than $8.55 for regular/ $11.25 for express with MyPost Business, at least until July when MPB will have its own extra small satchel pricing.

I personally on Band 4 - eBay price is cheaper for Zone 2/3 - small discount on zone 2, about $2.50 for zone 3. Most likely I will just satchels for use zone 3 only as if I do MPB too little my MPB pricing band will drop.

You can also use the satchels for packing materials for non eBay orders as they seems pretty good and inexpensive.
