Also convenient for the person next to you to steal your stuffs while you are sleeping

    • -1

Can’t steal your stuff if you book out the whole row

Who on earth would keep your passport within everyone sight?🙈

    • +1

People with multiple passports with different names and photos

    • +2

How else am I suppose to determine whether the beautiful stranger beside me is trustworthy enough to be my future wife?

      • +3

Hey dont judge by cover (passport) but look inside their heart (and wallet)

    • Who on earth would keep your passport within everyone sight?🙈

      a uber spy. 🤨

tbh though it is common to get small but secure strap bags that hold your passport and other things (vape?) when travelling to get those discounts (e.g. tax free).
it's popular in japan so they even sell them in some of their fashion stores. they are meant to be secure but also convenient to quickly show passport.

this kmart one doesn't look secure at all though. fold it in half and turn it upside down and all your important stuffs is on the floor. 😂

Perfect so if you forget one thing, you forget everything

  • +10

Kudos on identifying a deal, but folks please do not use this. This is putting your devices and documents at too much of a risk.

    • +5

Plus from a travel light perspective it's one more thing that you have to carry around in your luggage. Just use the seat back pockets and take less stuff.

  • Would hate to be the person sitting in front. I can already feel in my lower back when the person behind shoves something in the seat pocket, or fking hard taps the entertainment screen like they're fingering a peach.

    • +5

It hangs over the tray table. This would in fact benefit you and your delicate back as it gives them a place to put things that isn't the seat pocket.

But you always choose the last row because you don't believe in reclining

    • +2

I could eat a peach for hours

My God, Kmart sells some crap.

I actually used this on a flight recently for kids activities. Worked really well for books, pencils, small toys etc to keep them busy during the flight. Folds right up with everything in and into a backpack. Put it on the tray in front of me.

  • +3

Has anyone ever actually had anything stolen on a flight? I’ve never been concerned about this and have travelled 40+ countries

    • Have you ever put your passport & devices out in the open so anyone walking past can take it?

I've never been reckless in my flights so I've never lost anything

      • +2

AirPods and phone regularly sit in the open. Never had an issue

    • +23

Yes girl next to me stole my armrest. I was about to complain to the flight attendant about it but then I remembered that girl is my wife.

    • +1

I had a scumbag try and take a $10 note from the seat pocket while I was trying to fall asleep. Pretty sure it fell out of my wallet while I had it in there waiting for food/drink. Was a virgin flight ages ago.

I think it's few and far between… This is one of ~80 flights I've been on in my life

    • It's presumably less likely to occur on a plane than in typical settings on the ground, but of course it happens. There are plenty of news articles and stories about it, sometimes involving highly valuable jewelry or large amounts of cash.

I don't travel with anything valuable so have no concerns from a material loss perspective, but there is still a concern simply because it'd be a pain in the d1ck. Especially if your passport, phone and/or laptop were taken, the headaches and inconvenience would be disproportional to the replacement cost.

  • +1

I get this free as fitted in all flight seats

  • Is this equivalent to a double zapper bum bag?

    • Double zapper? Sounds painful. Or enjoyable if you're into that.

  • +1

Only useful for short flights, where are you going to put this when having food?

    • -5

You have food the entire flight?

      And to answer your question

      A) on your lap when you eat
      B) Your seat between the armrest
      C) On the floor
      D) Folded inside the seat pocket.
      E) Empty seat next to you if lucky

      Use your imagination.

      • D) Folded inside the seat pocket.

What about the non foldable stuff that it's holding?

  • Better than putting stuff in the seat pocket. You don't know what's been down there and I'm sure they never get cleaned.

    • +2

Yeah I'd hate to think somebody was hanging their dick in that on the flight just before mine.

  • -2

    Bought three. Cheers, OP.

  • +1

Thanks. Bought one for my private jet

  • +1

I suppose it's useful if you're in seats where you can reach the back of the seat in front of you.

Sound of electronic seat recline, sound of Dom Perignon being sipped

  • +1

    sold out!

  • Yeah…no use if you fly in the cargo hold.

  • I might repurpose this for in-car and in garage

  • I'm a big guy. I will rip this off your seat every time I squeeze past you to poop.

    • +1

How often do you poop during a flight?

      Asking for a friend.

    • +1

      Stop booking window seats then.

    • Sounds like you need to book the row, big guy.

  • if the person sitting next to me whipped out one of these and strapped it to the back of the seat in front, I would be so hot right now. 🥰

  • This is the prime reason, why we put these tarriffs on Chyna.

  • And don't forget to byo toilet paper roll for that next long flight

  • @thydzik, could you please add a negation operator to the description filter in your Bargain Bilby? It's pretty much impossible to filter for Men's items without getting all the Women's along with it. It'd also be useful to filter kid's items but not babies', for instance.

  • Specific accessories like this can be hit and miss.. sounds good when buying, but ends up not taken on trip as luggage capacity already limited.

  • If you need this then I'd bet you're going to be disorganised anyway
