    Ballistic mesh

Perfect to keep your feet safe from winchester wielding wombats while you're wandering around in the bush.

    • Haha, brilliant! While we can’t officially claim they’re wombat-proof, they’re definitely built tough enough for rugged Aussie bush adventures.

  • Are these wide? I've got flipper feet. Also what's the return policy like?

They are excellent with honouring returns in-store or posted back. I just returned some heavily discounted items that I was a bit worried about, but they refunded me the total cost quickly and efficiently.

  • Are these waterproof?

    • GTX indicates that it has a waterproof lining..so to a degree, yes.

I normally love a good deal but I always wonder why top 'brands' go greater than 50% when these look premium.
Before I decided to jump on impulse purchase I searched for some reviews to aid my decision making..

Just my 2 mins of research YMMV. I have nothing against particular brands. I have a variety of hiking shoes but that was enough to change my mind.

I've used merrells for a bit over 10 years at this point - I love knowing they'll fit, and they used to always be solid.

recent ones have been disappointing- kinda feel like all the big brands have realised enshitification is more profitable than continuing to make a good product. I don't know what brand to recommend these days :/

      • I swear by my Merrells, though I'm entering my 6th year with my boots that have very nearly reached end of life. This news is devastating!

      • I miss the old ones. The range and design was better. They lasted insanely well and I'm still wearing an old pair around the house that refuses to die and are still really comfortable.

They used to have some that were fine wearing to a restaurant, or long walks, or even hiking. Now a lot of their range is overly chunky, weird colourways and the quality doesn't seem as good.

It makes it harder to buy from these days which is a shame, as they were a 10/10 before. I'd without a doubt buy one of the previous ones if they were exactly the same.

  • My wife and I usually buy a few things from the site every now and then but would it be possible to create a filter that also allows you to see what's in stock. Having to scroll through out of stock items is just a pain.
