ubank Website SSL Certificate Expired

Heads up the certificate has expired for the non www version of the site and may throw an error.

Error Sample

I am not sure how this affects the rest of the website as I have not had time to take a look at whether the portal itself points to the non-www version.

I cannot believe uBank has basically gone down the drain since they put in Sandro Bucchianeri. The passkeys scandal and now this.

  • Something to do with your connection, perfectly fine for me.

Just tried with Chrome here. Yes, ubank.com.au cannot be accessed as it's an untrusted, unencrypted site.

This is a classic example of someone buying and installing a product and it runs fine for years. Everyone forgets about it… until it falls over. Then panic ensues trying to find the one guy in the company who knows anything about the system.

    Using www.ubank.com.au works. ubank.com.au doesn't.

Typing "www" is something people don't do anymore.

EDIT: Looks like ubank.com.au works now as well

Someone forgot to update the cert binding, but really they should be redirecting non-www address to www address. Even NAB is doing that, so maybe the NAB guys can help ubank.

  • yep non-www version still not working, it's been expired for 4 days already!

    • Just clear your browser cache? Perhaps it's still holding the old cert or bad connection
      Mine says,
Issued On Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 10:30:00 AM
Expires On Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:29:59 AM

        • Okie got ya, but one cert should be able to cover both combinations, looks like a technical issue.

          • @boomramada: Yeah the cert does cover both combinations. It looks like they updated the cert, but not the bindings for the non-www address.

            • @Aureus: I hope one of you guys contacts Ubank and let them know, not the Ozb technical support team lol

            • @Aureus: Seems a bit sloppy of them to reveal subdomains that aren't for external users
