Contact Australian special forces for your special case

    • Their branches are all on military bases, well for Victoria at least, probably a long way to travel to get to one of their branches.

For those who can be bothered to repeat the same process for their kids, minimum age requirement is 11 years old

    • Baby bonus?

      • +1

Wohoo ill start making bunch of them from tonight.
        Wait.. i have no partners

  • Account making process was not bad. The waiting game begins now

  • Opening transaction account will not affect credit rating right ?

    • Correct

    • +1

Never was and never will because you are (practically) lending the bank your hard-earned $$$ when you do a deposit.

  • +1

so kids over 11 qualify too?

  • So who here is waiting until day 59 to deposit 1k? Curious to know.

Anyone who decides to open the Everyday Access account, be sure NOT to order a physical debit card as that would cost $30.

    • WHAT!!!, :( i already ordered,, didnt say it cost $30 :(

  • Unable to send money to this new account with Osko, tried 2 banks. Sending $1 through regular transfer.

    • I had no difficulty with a 1c test transfer via Osko. Showed up instantly.

      • which bank did you send from? It failed with NAB and UP so far

        • Had no problems with Up.

        • Ubank and I've also just tested ING and NAB as well - all worked fine and the transfers showed up instantly.

      • Interestingly tonight when I tried to transfer 1c, Ubank threw up an error saying it couldn't transfer, possibly because the account was closed. ING said it could transfer but would take 1-2 business days.

Things appear normal in the AMB app. The account is still open. Will retry on Monday.

        • Just tried NAB, which showed nothing out of the ordinary and said it had transferred via Osko.

But the cent doesn't appear in AMB and will presumably take 1-2 business days to arrive.

          • @UrMumsOnlyFan: The transfer didn't go through and got refunded to the NAB account.

            This is just utter shite.

    • Transferred to BSB and account from ING and went through instantly. No pay ID.

Probably a better cause than feeding them greedies of the 4 big ones.
Long term their 4.35% is a bit low.

  • I've had no luck on the app thus far. Has anyone successfully made an account by calling them up?

  • +3

I just rang them and asked about dates. As long as you open the account and deposit $1k by 30 June 2025 (and don't withdraw anything in the 2 months from opening date) then you're good.

    • thanks for sharing this!

  • Cash bonus will be paid into the eligible Online Saver accounts by 12 September 2025

Since the promo is end on 30/June, would it better open the account around mid/late June, deposit 1K and wait until 12 Sept , so you don't lock your money too long?

    • +2

that's my plan but we got risk of missing out in case they pull the plug early on this one.

    • Yes. But do you want to take the chance if they close the promotion early. FOMO is real my friend. 😀

    • Just open the account now and then make the deposit in late June

  • It appears to be government-guaranteed, based on the APRA list. : https://www.apra.gov.au/list-of-authorised-deposit-taking-in…

  • I can't see anything about the $100 scheme on their website. Also the link in the deal is 404'd.

    • +3

damnnn tooo late! omg im 100 bucks poorer

  • link not working anymore?

  • it was working earlier, but i didnt feel like signing up back then

  • +3

LOL, the marketing guy got fired because of this promotion? They just found out they don't have sufficient fund to pay out $100x1000 newly accounts just opened today and more coming.

  • The website is dead

  • good ones guys… it's OztheFbargained

Anyone got a screenshot of the promo page they can share?

  • Hrm, I guess even the promo page has taken down, you can still open via the app since you don't need apply any code, then still qualify for the $100 - deposit $1K and hold out till 12 Sep.

Now we need a screenshot of the page.

    • +2

they will say we reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time and not paying you, this is in the T&C

  • So will people who already opened an account get the $100?

  • +9
    • Legend, thanks!

  • Missed it. Recently signed up revoult ($upto140 like $70 each if you find friend to share or something ) or ING is best ($100-$125) among best one right now.

  • +2

lets call them on monday to ask if the promo is still available.

  • +1

Damn, hope they pay out since I gave them my data and all. Also my $1 transfer still hasn't made it over. Should have sent 1 cent to this weird bank.

    • +2

Most likely they have put a hold on your account just like me, you need to give them call and ho through their shittty customer service to remove the hold first

  • +2

It's gone, however T&C said that the offer was valid till 30 June 2025

  • +3

Shittiest bank ever, app is crappy, customer service is pathetic

    • +1

Have to agree, out of all the shite banks I've joined to get $50, this one is the worst

  • Here's hoping they still honor those signups before it was pulled.

    • +1

its probably meant not for massive sign ups, ozb tend to ruin this kind of deal. Some deals we're not meant to abuse or flood with signups.

  • +2

Anyone called them up today to ask if they are going to honor signups prior to the promotion being removed?

  • +1

Opened account. Linked to commbank account. Can’t even transfer funds from linked account. Commbank just returns money saying other bank rejected funds. Sent thru Osko if that made any difference but unable to send any other way…

    • +1

I was told - only after contacting them (because of this) - that the account was automatically frozen due to Know Your Customer requirements. There is no indication that this would have been proactively advised if I hadn't contacted them.

Funnily enough, there is a survey email:-

We would appreciate if you could take a few moments to answer three (3) short survey questions on your recent experience opening a new account.

  • Account was verified and setup but then got frozen too

  • I got a call from them today. Spoke with them and didn't even know my account was locked. Anyway all good now

    • Same here

      • Same as the above : freeze on account.

Confirmed if $100 still applied. She said promotion has been cancelled, but you applied before they pulled it down, you should still be eligible.

Call up if it doesn't apply

  • Just got a missed call to "verify some details".

Oh oh…. Anyone got the same?
