Hahahaha, that's me. I'm a girthy-boi. Although looks like the middle of it is raised, so unless you like the seat being up your butt, it's a no go.

So… you see a bargain post for a camping chair, and your first reaction is to attribute a homeless guy’s situation to a politician.

You must live in constant anguish.

        • +5

What does this have to do with Albo? You going to tell me that the other side would have less homeless?

          • +1

@Shootinputin89: Poor old temper scent thinks both majors are the same, but ALP is always to blame for everything.

I guess he/she/it has 6 years to adapt.

@Protractor: Somehow this Protractor always gets the angles over 90 degrees.

          • @Shootinputin89:

You going to tell me that the other side would have less homeless?

            No I'm not. Don't ASSume.
One side of the seat is for the LNP arse cheek, the other side is for the ALP arse cheek.

        • Well done Angus?

Albos australia? While both parties pursue a neoliberal economic agenda, Howard failing to capitalise on the biggest mining boom in history and introducing negative gearing for boomers to create a nation of landlords and speculators count as the largest wealth transfers from young to old and from poor to rich on record. Coupled with Libs axing penalty rates for casuals, Frydenberg running up the biggest debt increase in history (before covid) holding medicare rebates static for 10 years, and even a campaign against albo modifying stage 3 tax cuts to benefit families had Angus on TV telling people it was outrageous and earning $450K was "not a lot of money" its clearly the legacy of LNP policy thats increased poverty in australia.

      • +4

I'm so glad people still remember how awful Howard was. Coalition voters have rose tinted glasses when they bring him up.. luckily there are less and less of them these days.. almost like the olds are dying?????!?!?!!!!

        • -3

I voted for Howard in 2007 - simply because Kevin Rudd and his chrony Stephen Conroy planned to adopt a rubbish internet filter to 'protect the childreeennnn' that would never work. Was silly, because Liberals wanted FTTN, so our internet was going to be sabotaged either way. Nearly two-decades later, and the battle to save our internet is still on. Have rubbish compulsory meta-data laws that don't help anyone nor stop criminals, FTTP is still being rolled out, and Labor keep trying to pass rubbish internet censorship laws thinly disguised as 'help the childreennn' laws. That is to say, I vote for whoever is trying to fk my internet less.

          • +2

@Shootinputin89: Gee out of the two parties which one (profanity) our internet harder? One deliberately sabotaged an infrastructure rollout costing us billions of dollars and leaving us with a sub par network that's still being upgraded today.

The other handwaved some "save the children" type laws that are impossible to enforce and usually have bipartisan support.

You're dreaming if you don't think there's a clear difference between the two parties.

            • @Subada: ALP have done more for the internet with their support of FTTP. I've been on FTTP since 2016. But them trying to pass that social media ban, and even pushing for initiatives such as requiring an ID to even access certain sites and services - why are they so dumb? And yes, I understand that both sides are full of good intentioned boomers who have no idea about internet matters, so there has been bipartisan support (these days), which got stuff like the compulsory meta-data laws over the line. Hence why I just ended up voting Libertarian. But hey, I did put ALP higher in the pecking order. Obviously, Family First always goes last because of their religious rubbish.

I'd also be lying if I thought Albo did anything but try push a silly referendum at us that we all voted No to last term. So hopefully he actually does something worthwhile this time around.

Edit: And I know what people will think - 'wahhh, why are you voting for issues related to the internet… what about muh cost of livin!'. I just look to the UK and how their internet has gone right down the toilet. People arrested for offensive posts on social media is the norm there. I don't want our internet to be heading that way.

        both parties

        I agree.

        Albos australia?

Yes, he is at the helm. So I'm led to believe by just a smidge over a third of the country voting for his party.

        • +1

Awww, shame even less voted for your band of morons who didn't even have policies

      • Must be nice, having such a simple view of the world.
No consideration of local and international economic cycles, history, geopolitical events.

        Just "must be Albo's fault".

  • These look weird, Siamese chairs

  • This chair not much cushion filled up, I preferred to cushion or soft fabric filled chair. Which more comfy during cold/winter night camp logfire.

  • Anyone have a recommendation on an actual comfortable 2 seater? Happy to fork out more if needed!

    • any budget?

      • $100-$150 as a start?

        • Comfort is subjective so best you try it out. TBH most of the 2/3 seaters I've tried sub $200 are uncomfortable for 2 reasons: 1. not enough padding and 2. the back is too upright (generally to avoid centre of gravity issues). Heard about Keltys on some camping forums and they are actually really good: this and this, but relatively expensive.

Otherwise BCF has some in the 100-200 range, padding ok, still has the vertical back issue.

          • @ccrap: This is definitively overkill, ALDI sales few padding double or 3-persons chair only around 100 bucks.

            • @hgaoxhgaox: I'm all for Aldi but IIRC those are vertically upright backs too, which might be fine for some depending on use but didnt suit us. Happy to be corrected though incase they are straight up

        • Moon chair is other option
