The sound quality is excellent, fit and ANC pathetic when you're out an about, for ANC and fit Buds2 Pro are excellent

    • +1

Agree that it's virtually indistinguishable whether ANC is on or off. Otherwise good headphones with great battery life.

    • How does it compare to Airpod Pro?

      • I have both, these are pretty terrible in comparison.

    • I didn't know that the ANC is bad? I dislike my Buds3Pro because of it's battery life. It's so short.

    • +1

Agree on sound quality. From what you wrote, I can infer that youre saying ANC is bad. Not 100% sure if you're trying to say fit is excellent or pathetic. However, I found the fit the worst part of them. They're just a little bit too big. I thought maybe I'm the outlier, because reviews and posts don't seem to mention fit being an issue. But yeh, I feel like they're constantly on the verge of falling out, and in some instances have fallen out. I still wear them everyday, as the sound is excellent - I'm actually wearing them now. I paid a bit for them, and also feel like I want to get my monies worth. I just wish they fit a bit better…

        ANC and fit = BAD
        Sound quality = Excellent

Forgot to mention, I improved fit by replacing the tips with some AZLA Sedna and Spinfit eartips

Comparing with Buds2 Pro, their supplied ear tips are fantastic, no need to change 😁

        ANZ + Fit = Excellent
Sound quality = maybe not as good as XM5 but still so enjoyable. Best overall package.

I hope now you're clear lol

    • In my experience…

      • The sound quality is top tier (listening to hi-res FLAC files using LDAC codec and with a few equaliser tweaks). Never heard anything sound better (talking about BT in ear headphones)
      • They fit me well (the XM4 were larger and much more uncomfortable)
      • Noise canceling works perfectly for my scenario, which is using around the house with wife and kids talking and background noises like tv, ranagehood, dishwasher or neighbours mowing their lawn with a petrol mower that sounds like a V8… can't hear anything.

For me they are perfect, but I can't comment on fit when doing some activities (like running) or noise canceling in crowded environments as I'm not using them for that.

Edit: They are a bit, let's say, "challenging" to put in as there's only one correct way for them to sit in your ears and give you the best quality sound/noise canceling, but they can be put in a few different ways that might feel correct but it's actually not and it will affect the sound quality/noise canceling. Talking from experience, took me quite a few times to figure it out.

  • Can anyone recommend between this vs buds pro 3 and AirPods Pro 2?

I have both apple and Samsung and kind of want best of both worlds.

    • Airpods pro 2 for sure, if you want the best, bose quietcomfort ultra

    • Does it have to be in ear? I always swap between Android/ iOS and find the Bose QuietComfort SC to be the best all rounder.

  • I've had crap experience with the Buds pro 3 warranty 1 month into ownership. Took 1.5 months, 5hrs on the phone at 3 trips to the store.

Don't buy samsung buds if you don't want any potential stress.

      Just buy Airpods lol
I tried steering away for alternatives and have given up lol Jabra sadly stopped their line up.

  • I believe we are probably 2-3 months out from the new version, if we consider they normally have a 2 year turnaround for new models.

  • +1

Buy some aftermarket tips, then the isolation becomes better. However Dont use these for running, you hear loud bumps with each leg stride.

    • I have the same experience with the Anker Soundcore A40. Is this the same for all earbuds?

      • +1

depends? always read reviews before buying and keep a look out when they mention gym/running experience

my samsung galaxy pro buds 2 were great for running as i heard no loud thumps during strides, however they would fall out and the sweat wouldnt let me forward songs sometimes.
thats why i bought the aftershokz pro 2 which solved all the problems. altho no ANC which im fine with as it stays on the head and skipping songs has no issues

  • Sony's quality is trash after my experience with wfxm4. Noise cancelling went on and off by itself so often they became unusable.

In addition to alot of complaints from other re battery problems.

    • +1

I have these as well as the WH-1000XM4.
No complaints about the WH-1000XM4 but, these WF-1000XM5 were the most disapointing headphones I've ever purchase.
Admittedly my main uses are podcasts, movies and calls rather than music.
Basically unsable for teams meetings, people complain about audio quality even when I'm sitting in a quiet room.

  • The fit was pretty poor, bought these earbuds and they fit a lot better now.

    Sound quality is great.

  • Isn't xm6 launching may 15th

    • Read somewhere it's July this year. Have been researching and the WF-1000XM5 are apparently very good from many reviewers. But everything is personal preference and not every ear canal is the same.

Current owner of the WF-1000XM4 earbuds that have been amazing since changing the tips to non-foam.
