$50 off from videopro for firsttimers
I know i read that. I wrote if it's your preferred store
Discounted gcs and jb outlets are more accessible so people can just pickup and not pay for delivery. Easier accessibility for warranty purposes too.
Maybe you'll have different luck with different agents but they refused price match because its on backorder.
Been using this as my PC Monitor, it's perfect and better than all those other overpriced alternatives
2nd thisz
Been using the C2 42" for a touch under 3 years now, fantastic to use as a computer monitor, no signs of burn in with 3100 hours.
I'm also using a C2 42" as my primary pc monitor, >7500 hours and no sign of burn-in.
Do you do productivity work or media/gaming primarily? I have been considering a move to something like this but I am 90% productivity and 10% entertainment
I have a similar productivity to entertainment split, any feedback would be great
I'm looking for feedback on this too haha
I got one of these over the weekend from HN. I love it! I wfh on it every day, and its great for productivity. Do make sure you have a deep enough desk. My eyeballs are about 90cm from the screen, and text is very clear to me. I mounted my Samsung G5 32" 1440p monitor next to it, and the text on the C4 is clearer, to my surprise (As I had read oled is not best for text)
And the entertainment use is just amazing (This is my first oled)
The biggest inconvenience for me, is that it only had HDMI inputs, no DP or usb-c. My work laptop mainly relies on DP outputs on its dock, and I had to get some DP -> HDMI cables from amazon. My work laptop also refuses to do 4K 120/144, and will only do 60hz. Its ok, but 144 that I get when connecting my pc to it, feels better. Might be placebo.
Anyway, long story short, its great for productivity, was able to set it not too bright, so its easy on the eyes, and the size/rez on a deep desk is perfect, no need for any scaling in windows etc. If you were gonna try to sit super close to it, text quality will take a hit, and you will likely be moving your head side to side quite a bit. I would say anything over 70cm (eyeball to screen) should be fine.
Hope that helps.
Any links for the hdmi to dp cables you used?
@Osiris: Using this one, it seems to work the best.

@Osiris: Hi, I just got another adapter I ordered from amazon, that took a bit longer to arrive. But its MUCH better. Screen is now happily sitting on 120hz on my work laptop (Dell 5570) using this attached to the docking station, into hdmi cable.

Feels a lot more "solid" without random resolution changes when restarting etc. Sorry if you already bought the one I lister before.
@Quintin: Cable arrived quick, but only 4K60 for me, stable as a rock though would recommend.
From what i've read, hdmi cable you're using and even some settings like whether you have 4:4:4 setup can impact it, so not ruling it out probably just requires a lot of trial and error.
Text fringing is a real problem for me. I bought it last week.
@ussenterprize: Sorry to hear that. For me, its very crisp. I followed the guids online re settings, like 444 passthrough, game optimiser, 144hz etc. I have relatively low brightness, on my work pc no HDR, and I use dark mode for most things. As I mentioned above, the text on my 32" 1440p Samsung G5 is less clear.
I use the 42 at 3840x2160, 100% scaling in windows, and everything is very clear. I have not changed any ClearType settings in W11, but I did see on some posts, text looks better without it. Ymmv.
Hope you can get yours better. For me, its very crispy.
@ussenterprize: Hi, I remembered this comment of yours, as when I wrote my reply, I did not see any fringing, but lately I have been.
Dug into it more, and found, both of these need to be set:
- The screen in External HDMI settings needs to enable the 444 passthrough
- (This was the son of a gun for me) Windows needs to be set to YCBCR444 color format (On my work laptop, its a setting in the "Intel Graphics Command Center")
The moment I did that, ZERO fringing any more. It used to be especially bad with fine black text on bright red background, now its perfect. (The only downside is, on 444, I cannot select 120hz on my work laptop any more, only 60, but I rather have 60 and perfect text. On my gaming pc, I have it on 444 and 144hz + hdr, and its all perfect)
Hope that might help you.
@Quintin: Thanks man. That did make a difference. Though there is still a bit of text fringing but I guess that is inherent to OLED. That did improve it and I will be making a few more observations over the long weekend.
Mainly for Media and gaming, great input latency for rhythm games.
I have to stick to 120hz because 144hz would randomly cut out with no signal randomly.
There was a setting that I needed to turn off because something kept breaking but I forgot which one.
A quick google showed it was vrr or gsync if you run into flickering problems.
If you wanna sit close, just buy one of those $10 dorky uv glasses from Amazon so it doesn't burn your eyes.
And lastly I think I had to turn the greens down too
I wouldn't recommend for primarily productivity. Absolutely fantastic for entertainment, but high % white screen just isn't good on these.
My use case is more 20% productivity/80% entertainment - I had the 48CX for 4 years, and recently replaced with a 48C4 due to impact damage. The CX was showing signs of burn in along the borders of my windows at this point. With both of them, the white is quite harsh/blue (could be tweaked), and the brightness limiter also is quite noticeable on anything with large white spaces. Probably less of an issue with the 42, but the 48 @ 4k could be sharper on text, I find it fine, but I'm mostly full screen games etc, if I was dealing with documents all day it would be sub optimal.
They're all things you could work around, but all in all, for mostly productivity, I'd probably go another route.
No DP2.1 so maybe not so good if you're on a 50 series card?
If you don't mind my asking, how deep is your desk? What's the distance between you and the "monitor"?
I think the trick is to use the palm of your hands arms length.
Just don't use HDR and keep oled brightness low to around 10.
Use those dorky uv glasses too if eye strain.
Everybody's eye are different though but those are my settings.
I don't need to use my prescription glasses at all with a screen this big 😅
Has anyone used this with a Mac Mini M4?
Yes
Where them C4 deals at? They are selling out everywhere now, can't even get direct from LG 😭
JB, HN, Appliance Central all had it for this price over the last two weeks.
But yep I doubt VP will be able to backorder this, so you're down to JB, Appliance Central with the last of the stock, neither doing it for this price atm
For 65" most of them have gone back up to $3K. I got greedy when it got to $2.4K and I didn't think that was the bottom, turns out it was. Also thinking maybe I should have stretched and gone the G3 for $2.8K.
*meant to say 65"
Got a 32" (upgrade from 27"), I am loving it. Now I'm thinking should have gone the 42" OLED hahah. Not really keen on dropping $1K on a monitor though, maybe in a few years when they come down in price.
Thanks, matched at JB, $30 off with perks, 5% off gift cards from shopback, worked out pretty well.
Prob slim chance now that VP is oos but any chance you could share the invoice? want to see if I can get them to price match as they wouldnt earlier
83"C4 is 5250 ,
Not too bad if you can find stock.
Might wait for a deal on a 77" G5 now, as the clearance from LG started early this year in February and no significant stock left in popular sizes on any "4"series models.
$5499 on LG store, they are pretty easy going with giving out 10% codes via chat especially if you have an existing LG product can give the serial for, that would bring it down to $5000 flat.
Has LG stopped manufacturing / shipping these to retailers given the C5 is out?
Not sure if I’m wasting my time expecting to find stock again locally…
Great price!
Can get JB to pricematch this, if it’s your preferred store, and use current perks promos ($30 off $300) and discounted gc’s for even better deal.
