Price dropped another $10. Available for price match at Officeworks again for a total of $1,633.99

Stack with:

I'd call/visit Officeworks asap if you were keen on price beat - history predicts that they'll lower their price by 99c in a couple of hours once people start price beating.

I’ve seen a huge amount of iPhone 16 deals lately (more than normal), what have I missed?

Gotta do something about those high interest rates 😂

      • What is mean by that hehe

They are probably diverting production capacity set aside for US elsewhere. Because they need to either raise prices in the US, or eat a loss with every sale in the US. Frankly, I don't even know if the tariff is going to be applied or not. First it was, then it was exempt, then it was subject to another tariff. Who the hell knows.

Either way, they are definitely trying to move more stock here in Australia.

        Eat a loss .. hahaha….on iPhones..?
No loss unless the tarrifs are $500 usd or more .
Sooooo much profit on Apple products that are made in low cost labour economies ,formerly known as third world countries but probably better described as countries that manipulate their currency while keeping their workers in poverty to benefit the few on high , but I believe this is also called capitalism with characters 👺🤮☠️👮🏽👮🏾‍♀️👮🏿‍♂️👩🏼‍✈️👨🏻‍💻🧑🏻‍💻👩🏻‍💻🕸️

No loss unless the tarrifs are $500 usd or more .

The tariff numbers that have been thrown around by Trump is upto 145%

From a quick Google, the BOM cost for 16 Pro Max is 465USD. So yeah, the tariff was going to 500 or more.

Does Officeworks Price Beat number 1300 633 423 open on the weekends?

If I go instore, will Officeworks ask to see Costco membership?

    • +2

Just bought one, no questions asked.

    Apple struggling ?
    - never seen so many deals over the past week or 2 on iPhones, iPads ..

    • +3

Apple's top buyers are Americans. The first shipment with 145% has already started.

      • +1

iPhones and iPads received a US tariff exemption on April 13. Anything with chips including computers.

        • It changed and keeps changing. Apple tried to moved to some to India and China. But Trump still wants Apple to go back to US, paying high labours.

Thanks OP! No issues getting a price match in-person for the black variant (I’m not a Costco member).

  • Apple really seem to be trying hard to sell. I sense trouble 🤪

    • +7

You really think Apple are in trouble?? Lets hope your not a financial planner

      • +4

Lol they only made $124.3b revenue in the first quarter. Definitely signs of voluntary administration it seems.

        • lol sell sell sellllllllllllll

  • +1

    Great deal! Thanks OP!

I reckon we are getting diverted USA stock that they can't shift due to tariffs.

    • +2

Maybe not the USA stock itself as theres few minor differences with Australian models such as no physical sim tray and mmWave 5G band in the US models..

    • iPhones and iPads received a US tariff exemption on April 13. Anything with chips including computers.

      • +1

True, the flip flopping is currently on flop. But Americans is going to face so crazy inflation as the other tariffs starts to bite. Don’t think they will be able to afford as many luxuries as before.

  • This vs pixel 9 pro xl for ~$850 from JB?

    • +1

Just get a Nokia, much better and cheaper.

    • Of course pixel no question. What and why you think this cost twice as much?

  • This cost an entire month rent rip

    • Not worth it. I'm not sure why people pay so much for a smartphone. Costing more than a TV. 1.6k and calling this a deal. Sure it's probably deal before iPhones gonna be made in USA right?

      • Production lines in India are now up to scratch. Price is reflecting demand with good marketing.
Plenty of Chinese phones who take more apealing photos.
But as an overall package with face id and unlock speed they are just not going away.

Did this in Geelong CBD just this morning
    Big W gift cards x 32 @ $45 each for $50 ($1,600 @ $1,440)
Across the road to officeworks, price matched $1,633.99
    So total cost was $1,440 + $33.99 = $1,473.99
They still had stock, not all colours…
Overseas next week too for $163.39 GST back
Thanks OP and others, ozbargain ftw… 🙏🙏🙏

    • So Big W matched Officeworks' price beat? How'd you show them evidence that OW would price beat Costco?

    • How do you get the GST back by going overseas?

    • Went to OW yesterday but the staff did not know how (or did not want) to write me a tax invoice. End up left without it.
What can I do to get them issue one?

      • Every item they sell is issued with a tax invoice, it's the receipt - that's the law

        • Sorry for not being clear. There is a receipt, but no name on it - which is required for >$1000 to have a Tax Refund
I asked them to write a tax invoice with name and they declined.

Last time with JB they did write me one so I assume this is reasonable?

    • +1

I just did this in Brisbane. Thanks! Getting the gift cards from Big W was a hassle though.

    Ordered today, thanks guys

  • looking for an iphone 512GB, any help?

    • +1

If you can find one in stock in an Officeworks store or online, the same rule should apply.

Costco have them for $2059.99 vs $2069 in Officeworks so the purchase price would be $1956.99, before any OnePass points, cheap gift cards etc.

If you don’t need the Pro, the iPhone 16 512GB can be had for a great price.

$1679 at Officeworks vs $1669.99 at Costco so you could pricematch @ $1586.49.

  • There doesn’t need to be stock in store - they need stock in the warehouse. I just did it and they will order in and click and collect within a few days.

Today is the last day of Costco sale. I’m glad Officeworks stopped playing cat and mouse with Costco so we can still get price beat.

  • Can anyone upload an officeworks invoice to potentially price match at jb? I have a few jb gift cards I'd like to use. Many thanks 🙏
