Officeworks have now priced their iPhone 16 Pro’s $0.99 cheaper than Costco’s price.
Don’t forget to use Ultimate gift cards from Coles for that extra 10% off.

Apple Says Tariffs Will Add $900 Million (AU$ 1.4 Billion) in Costs This Quarter
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-05-01/apple-say…
Good luck epil fans!
Will that only apple to the US stock? Aus is not in a trade war with China.
they will probably spread out the cost to their pricing worldwide
This. They're going to want to make that money back so applying the same cost worldwide makes the most sense. Make everyone pay, not just the US.
They are dumping their stock world wide. They are diverting production aimed for the US else where. Hence the price drops in iPads and iPhones.
The next gen will be where it bites as they will have reorganised their supply chain to account for the reduced US demand.
Well, Then Good Bye to Apple if they try to Punish us in Australia for Trump’s stupid policies.
I don’t think that the Trump tarrifs will affect the iPhone price of these phones, because they are already here in Australia in stock.
Smartphones, semiconductors and computers have a temporary reprieve from the US tariffs. The tariffs are only going to affect goods going to America at this stage. Also these phones are alreddy in stock in Australia.
But it’s only good for 90 days, and there is the constant threat of tariffs being back on again.
If you can wait for some more weeks it will drop again!
Why stop there? Wait for some months and it will drop even further!
Or even there, wait 5 years and it will be flying off the shelf
Is the iPhone 11 Pro on sale?
Was disappointed by easter sales by waiting
JB offered me a deal for $1722 for the pro 256gb.
Did you walk in or call in to your local JB to get the deal?
Online. They gave me an extra $7 because I said I get it delivered for free.
Their price beat is a piss-take like TGG. $10 at best. That's why I always price beat at OW when possible.
I went online into the chat just 10 minutes ago and got a basket which expires tonight.
Not bad that you can get the latest triple camera elite look for $1529
Lmao
I dont get the joke…
That A$$le has recycled the exact same design for the last five years
Does Officeworks limit how many $50 gift cards can be used to buy this?
Ie that’s 30x $50 gift cards
also want to know this
No limit. I had no issues using 30 at my local ow last night when I bought the phone.
Used 35 for a laptop yesterday. Be aware it’s pretty tedious. Need to remove them from packaging, scratch pin, swipe them manually, and for each one the staff member needs to manually add another $50 payment per card.
It’s hardly exhausting and is 10 minutes work to ask literally hundreds of dollars but just be aware of it as if you go during a busy time you’ll like get some dirty looks.
Also Coles CAN be weird about buying a lot as after three cards they have to give you an ‘anti scam’ pamphlet and manually approve the five gift card purchase. Also technically limit of five per person.
You don’t need to scratch the pin. I used Signature option few months back when redeemed $100/$50 ultimate giftcards to buy 16 Pro Max 512GB, fully paid (around $2300) with Ultimate Gift cards (- remaining minor amount paid with Credit Card).
So,
- take the GC out of packaging
- Swipe to the machine
- Sign the printed receipt
Way easier than pin.
It depends if you are shopping in-store, online or over the phone at 1300 OFFICE:
In-store: the OzBargain record is 44 in one transaction. I am not sure if there is a hard limit.
Online: the Officeworks website will in theory only let you redeem a maximum of one Ultimate gift card per transaction, because the Officeworks website cannot split payments across multiple Visa cards. However, there is a long-running issue with the Officeworks website where you cannot use an Ultimate gift card if you are purchasing an item from the Technology category.
Over the phone at 1300 OFFICE: my understanding is that you can only redeem at most one Ultimate gift card per transaction.
We had some $100 Ultimate cards from an earlier deal, we just scratched before we got there to make it a bit easier, the dirty looks are cause they missed out on the 10% or 20x points ;)
(profanity) 2 weeks and I'm $600 worse off fml
Knn
They must be preventing price beat from costco. $0.99 will save them from matching costco with further 5% discount.
now it is lower than costco, you can’t price beat
Can we negatively gear this?
Want to offset my phone against my rental income, I have expenses for example, calling my property manager etc.
That's not negative gearing?
My property is cashflow negative, hoping for some big capital gains.
If I can add this phone to expenses I can lower my tax bill and get a phone too.
You might qualify for a tax deduction but you should ask your accountant.
I wanna buy an iPhone 16 Pro. Can anyone tell me which country the iPhone 16 Pro is made in?
People’s republic I think, no tariffs in Australia
Vietnam, China, India.
Lol they price beat the Pro Max models by 99c too. But the 256gb white and natural titanium are still more expensive so you can price beat that model.
Thankfully I got the 256gb PM black on Thursday when it was still more expensive than Costco. And the checkout girl put 1879 instead of 1879.99 for the price beat amount too. Used 30 gift cards @ 10% off paid with 2/2.25% SB supermarket gcs paid with 7.xx% discounted MasterCards/Vanilla visa
When does this deal expire? When does the giftcard deals expire? Would like to get it next Friday!
It’s such a good deal, was thinking about getting the base iPhone 16 but this is worth the extra cost.
Bigger screen, 25x zoom lens, 120hz display and more premium build.
Better move quick cause my local OWs are running out of stock. Hopefully election will keep peeps busy for today.
How much the bargain we get here? Whats the rrp?
How long is this deal available for? I’d hate to buy 1.6k of gift cards (assuming you can’t easily buy and use digital ones) only for the deal to expire by the time I could use them.
They’re price beating costcos pricing which runs until 14/5 so I would assume until then.
Otherwise if they choose to raise prices then get them to price beat Costco.
A true bargainer will save 99 cents absolutely yes .
