These sound great and the battery on it is fantastic. No ANC but for the price as gym buds these are great. Don't use them for calls tho.

    • Yeah they are ok for calls in a quiet room.

    • I'm on the hunt for the best ear buds for calls. Currently in love with my Plantronics voyager 5200 when I don't need music or anc.

      • -1

        Try the Technics AZ100s

      • Try TOZO nc9. I've been impressed with mine.

        • Some reviews say the Tozo picks up background noise on calls. What has your experience been?

          • @philotex: Really good. It has ANC. mine has gone through the washing machine once also… LOL.

            • @Naigrabzo: I'm sure they sound great and the ANC works well, but the Mic / Call quality is what I'm after, and this review shows the Tozo's are no good: https://youtu.be/b4yzSfAEnUM?si=yqYw1EpbQK5KeGr5

              • @philotex: ANy suggestions on better ones? I lost one mine anyways so in the market.

                • +1

@Naigrabzo: I tell you I am going around and around in circles on these reviews. At this precise moment in time, I'm thinking at the under $200 segment (aliexpress), a pair of Oneplus buds pro 3. At the under $100 segment, CMF Buds Pro 2. Cheaper than that and it's a craps shoot. Keep in mind, this is specifically with call voice / mic quality in focus.

                  • @philotex: Thanks for that. CMF colours are awesome as well!!!!

                    • +1

@Naigrabzo: Updating my position, apparently the Oneplus Buds 3 (non-pro) are the way to go for the ~$100 mark.

      • +1

I've seen lots of reviews saying the OnePlus buds pro 3 are good. I was going to buy some recently but without being able to try them first I was worried I might not be able to get a good fit- which is the most important thing..

        • Thanks! A lot of reviewers seem to love these, along with the Huawei Freebuds, however, like you said, fit is important, and at that price point I'm hesitant to roll the dice. On the cheaper side, these seem to do alright review wise: CMF Buds Pro 2, Nothing Ear, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC.

        • They fit very well. Even my wife who loves her apple airpods pro said they were really nice.

      • I have the earfun air pro 4 and it is really good for calls.

        https://www.scarbir.com/tws/earfun-air-pro-4-review

        • I decided to splurge and go for the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3. Apparently best possible call quality and on discount since the Pro 4 came out but with negligible improvement.

    • +1

Agreed, great gym/running buds. Great battery life, stay in the ear well unlike so many others I have tried. Got a backup pair, thanks OP!

    • -7

I'm sorry these do not sound great at all. My Sony XM3 wireless buds stopped working after 4 years. I thought I'll get these. Insta-return and upgraded to XM4s. Sorry. Not even close to great.

      • +17

A $300 pair of buds sound better than a $30 pair. No shxt Sherlock.

        • +2

I have xm5s.. Theyre awesome. But I have some soundpeats air pro 3 deluxe or something.. They cost me 30.

They are my go too's for falling asleep.. So light they stay in my ear.. Battery is good and they have outlasted all my fancy samsung, apple, jabra etc.. I reckon they will outlive the Sonys.

Obviously sound quality and anc isn't as good, but for the money.. I don't think I need that stuff in hindsight. Sony don't even stay in that well.

        • -8

My point is more that everyone is ranting and raving how good these are - but actually they are absolutely rubbish. Would not take them even if they were free.

    • Thanks to you're feedback I went and bought a pair after my Panasonic M700B right ear cushion just came off at the gym. Needed a quick cheap replacement and these are fantastic for the price. Used at the gym and they fit nicely, not bulky, did not fall out and the sound is great. I have a bass bias and although not stellar they are great for the price point. App is great for equaliser settings and control setup. Sandstorm on the electronic setting is a fun listen. I'm going to buy another set as back up. Pleasantly surprised.

    USB-C?

Looks like best bang for bucks!

      • +5

There is definitely a battery in the case as shown in the pictures on the Amazon listing.

Great earbuds for the price, I use mine almost daily for a couple of hours and can't remember when I last charged the case

        • Second this, definitely a battery in the case. I'm literally watching mine charge from the case right now.

          • @jdawgydawggy: maybe i am blind .. but is there a way in the Soundcore app to see the battery % of the case? i am seeing the L and R battery levels obviously in the app, but it's be good to see how much capacity is left in the case for when the buds are plugged back in to charge.
Cant seem to find a FAQ or other resource that explains it.

  • Very good buds for the price. Bought them when I lost my Pixel Buds Pro and actually kept using them for a while after I found them again.

I like the sound core app as well.

  • Battery life on these is great.
I'm no audiophile but I find them perfectly fine for listening to music in the gym and podcasts while out walking.
Had 1 pair go through the wash and bought another pair.

    • We are twinning. I've just put my TOXO nc-9 through the wash. Only found one but it's still working.

  • For a budget set have enjoyed it!
Had something different with a different shape… these ones i kept because when i would eat at lunch they don't fall out of my ears which chewing jaw movements. When you're stuck eating in a noisy shopping centre you don't realise how much of a difference it makes until you take them off.
Some designs I've had in the past would just drop out poor weight distribution.
Ended up buying a 2nd incase i forget to take it home or vise versa

  • Amazing for this price. I paid way more to have a pair as a backup emergency pair. Great bang for buck.

  • +11

I bought a pair about 3 years ago and I’m using them everyday on the metro, a few weeks ago i left them in the pocket and they went through 50 minutes wash and 2 hours tumble dry with heat.

When i found them the rubber was separated from the ear buds and stuck in the dryer drum’s cracks, took me a while to get it out.

I was like ok time to get another pair and thought I’d call my wife to let her know what happened.

There was no sound from the phone.

    Weird.

But I did hear some really dim sound from somewhere. Also noticed the Bluetooth icon lit up on the phone.

They were connected, and working. After all that torture.

So yeah I’m still using them but just bought another pair, thanks op for the deal. Maybe i got lucky but they just gained my trust.

  • Any recommendations with anc?

    • +3

SoundCore A40 for $80 are amazing

      • They are great, but I've now had two pairs with the right earbud having died on me in the last year. The second pair was a warranty replacement.

    • +1

The new CMF buds 2 or whatever they're called looks to be good value

  • Any recommendations for ebuds that is great for Calls, no need for ANC, up to $100? I got the QYC melobuds but the left bud didn't charge so had to send back to amazon. Currently using the Soundcore by Anker Liberty 3 Pro, but the buds randomlyi doesn't charge or it doesn't disconnect from bluetooth which means the next time I use it is completely dead.

    • QCY T13. My workmates say they sound great on calls.

Often on sale on Amazon for $25. Genuinely decent sound and battery, I use them for music and movies and I have MUCH more expensive pairs as a comparison.

    • Surprisingly the samsung buds FE aren't too bad.
They stay in better than anything as well.

    • TOZO nc-9

  • +1

I use the QCY T17 which have a similar design and were about this price. They have been going strong for about 2 years now. Very comfortable buds for me and cheap as chips.

  • Love these, have 3 pairs.

  • Nice. Ty OP

  • I use these quite a lot. The sound is about what you'd expect for the price (kinda lousy but acceptable). But I never have issues with them working or anything.

  • Thanks OP, got one.

Used a discounted gift card I bought from here too 🏆

    • +1

My buds arrived, never owned wireless buds before. So this is my mini review after using them for 10minutes 🤔.

Installed app. Firmware was up to date, left settings stock.

Sound quality is quite acceptable verging on good.

      Problems.

I can’t figure out which is the right and which is the left one. I had to go into accessibility settings and go right left on volume.

Then I found I had them wrong way around ☺️

So bottom line, they are a bargain at this price.

      • +1

i think the lower image on the Amazon link shows a tiny "R" on one of them? i realise it's prob a bit annoying squint at the things to tell R from L like that tho.
Also, while i havent tried these ones yet (ETA this arvo), other wireless units i've used tend to fit only in 1 ear .. i mean, over time, you'll prob be able to tell which is which at a glance, but at least in early days when you jam it in your head, it just wont feel as right as when you swap to other ear.

        • +1

You are correct, there is a tiny faint L/R next to the charge point on the bottom, hard to read without glasses if you are a Boomer 😁

          Thanks.

For the price they are great. Apple must be making a massive profit on each buds. They would though spend a huge amount in R&D.

  • +1

Are they good for calls? I am currently using Tozo and they are amazing for Music but not so great for calls. I can hear but they other person can’t so not that great of a mic on them.

    • +1

I've never had an issue on a call, and never had any complaints from the other end.

    • +1

Calls is pretty bad. It's muffled without background sound, and background sound will drown you out. But if you're at home washing the dishes, it's usable.

    • +1

Good for calls if you are in a quiet room or space. Not usable outdoors with traffic or any ambient noise as it'll pick up noise and you'll sound muffled.

    • +1

Although I did recommend some in comment above.. Most wireless buds suck for calls in general.

  • These or p20i which ones are better?

    • There are almost same in everyway except the design.

  • How are they for side sleeping?

    • +28

they'll provide some minor support to your head, but you're better off using a pillow

  • Have 2 of these. The sound is below par compared to others in category. Boomy bass instead of large deep soundstage. Have tried tweaking eq via app.

    • +1

Yeah the sound quality is average but bearable

  • These are great value for money. Buy if you don't already have a pair.

  • Bit off subject any recommendations for quest 3 vr earbuds

  • +2

Do not buy if using it for phone calls. Rubbish sound pickup. Your friends will hate calling you. Or you can raise your voice and annoy the people around you. Music sounds good for casual listening / death scrolling Youtube shorts and Tiktok with decently low lag which is a plus.

    • Thanks. Was about to buy. Looking for cheap buds for dad to use for calls.

    • +1

I have never had any issues personally on calls.

    • -1

Your friends will hate calling you

      —- Sold, bought 10

  • Just bought a pair of these, EarFun Air Pro 3:
    https://amzn.asia/d/9gDKcgD
    There's some ANC for a bit extra…

  • How about a reputable brand like this but with ANC and good fidelity for music/podcasts?

  • Solid no frills earbuds. I ended up switching to nothing ear as I needed a pair that had multipoint for work.

  • These aren't good for calls unless the surroundings are dead quiet. They also tend to fall off my ears after speaking for a while (likely due to jaw movements). Sound quality is acceptable. I would spend a bit more and get something like the QCY Melobuds Pro. A major step up from these in every way.

  • Sound is ok. The tozos and qcy are generally better. Get the p20 if you're a bass head.

The benefit of these are the size, battery and control. They're not as finnicky as qcy's and last longer than the tozos A1. Making them perfect for sleeping.

  • i have sony linkbuds S, i'm considering either this or the more expensive A40s, biggest concern is size, are they as small as the linkbuds?

  • Got these on the last deal. Good sound quality, bargain for the price.

  • +1

I'm on my fourth pair of these as I am terrible at losing things.

Battery life is incredible. 10 hours on each. You can use them independently, so 20 hours if you wear one earphone at a time. Recharge is very quick.

As somewhat of an audiophile, do not get these if you are precious about sound quality. I would say the average person wouldn't be bothered or notice the average sound quality, but someone who cares a lot about quality will be disappointed, but hey they're $28.

At $28 they're perfect for sleep, backups, people who aren't precious about sound, or people like me who can't have good things because they'll lose them. Incredible value for money.

    • How do you use them independently?

      Sleep?

      • When I'm sleeping I only use one and sleep on one side (the side without the ear bud) for comfort.

When I'm at work I only use one so that I can still hear when someone is behind me asking for something.

When the other bud is in the case, it isn't being used. So when the bud you're using loses battery, you can switch buds and get another 10 hours out of the other bud.

All other ear buds I've used don't have this feature (eg. The left ear bud can't be used on its own)

        • Have you compared them to any other buds? I picked up the creative Zen air 2 for 25 bucks and can also vouch that while they are great for the price, and sound is generally decent, the highs are not as pronounced as I would like. Wondering if these are better or maybe don't display the same issue

  • Anyone used these
    https://amzn.asia/d/fYAOHGB

    • they're different designs, my ears prefer the a20i, p30i pods style hurts.

  • Thx OP, bought a white one, my current Heymix left side is not holding charge long anymore, less than 2 hrs need to recharge plus the charge box battery is also draining super fast too, time for a new set. This deal is expiring at midnight, better be quick!

  • How would these compare to Huawei freebuds fe 2?

I know the Huawei ones are about $60 but happy to pay for something semi decent.

  • +1

Not sure why this deal is marked as expired. I just bought a pair for price in title. Thanks OP!

  • -1

Any issues using these in shower?

    • -2

Yeah you probably have issues if you are using them in the shower.

    • +1

I'm using them in shower, washing hair and so far no issue.

  • Deal is back
