The deal should be posted for Big W, noting the Officeworks pricebeat option. See the deal posting guidelines:

  • Guys are we forgetting everyday rewards. $301.50 with monthly 10% off. This is the last month everyday rewards is available for big w.

Nevermind just realised apple is excluded, my bad.

    • It would be good if they allowed Apple products for their last month.

  • Apple is giving the pi$$.

Anything crossing >$200 is a plain rip-off for ANY brand earbuds.

Apple Integration with its eco system is over-rated I recon. Sound quality is comparable if not the same as soundcore earbuds for much less.

I would pay double for my AirPods, given how much I use them. I can switch audio effortlessly between my computer, iPhone, watch, TV… it's pretty great.

The hearing aid stuff is awesome too

      • How’s the experience with the auto switching between all those devices? I’m considering but have always been a bit hesitant. I’ll be using MacBook Air, iPad, Apple Watch, iPhone, Apple TV. Like if I’m watching something on my phone, then pick up my iPad and lock my phone, then start watching on iPad, does it just auto switch?

        • My AirPods auto-switch to whatever apple device I'm using, and playing audio on, that is connected to my iCloud account. So yes, should just switch to your iPad, if you're logged into iCloud.

          • @bangiebargie: Is that the same with Apple TV?

            • @YeboMate: Yep. Or more accurately, if I open (or am already wearing) my AirPods, the tv will ask me if I want to connect to them by holding a button on the remote. It's fairly seamless.

    • To me, it is absolutely a bargain. I bought it for my wife solely because of its hearing aid feature which is approved by TGA last December. Comparing with other hearing aid products in the market, the price of Airpod Pro 2 is just a fraction. It is a shame that many people are not aware of this extra feature and still paying $1000+ for traditional hearing aid products.

    • but its TWS, the main point isnt sound quality, its easy of use, features, battery, size and the app2 nailed all of them.

i think the only part is build quality, the easy to get scratched nature and white color only which is very marketing driven.

      • Have you tried wiping with isopropyl alcohol? Worked like magic in getting rid of scratches and scuff marks for me

        • stains yes, but how would isopropyl alcohol helps with scratches?

          • @Hornpub: Because it's not the scratch itself that shows, but the dirt in the scratch. Just give it a whirl. Like I said, worked better than expected for me.

            • @bangiebargie: ahh i see. i hate how soft their plastic are, surely its like this on purpose.

  • This one has the hearing aid feature, right?

It works on the left ear too

Personally I suspect a new model possibly at wwdc so might be worth waiting especially for not much of a discount

  • How effective is the ANC compared to 5 yo Sony heaphones WF1000-XM3 ? I'm assuming the over ear cans have an inherent advantage but maybe the newer tech has closed the gap ?

Can I just say, I can't believe I bought these for $330 over 2 years ago (albeit with lightning port) and the price has pretty much not dropped since then….crazy!

    • it has dropped in real terms.

      • Please elaborate..

Cheaper earbuds have come such a long way that these prices are ridiculous now. Apple is not ahead anymore. Sure, you get some Apple only features. Brands like Tozo, Soundpeats and Nothing all have excellent sounding active noise cancelling buds for less than $100 (Tozo and Soundpeats even cheaper).
Australian youtuber Picky Audio has great reviews of cheaper buds, including Best under $50/$100 etc videos.
