  • wow if I were still a student at uni i would totally get one of these.

  • Are these good quality?

    • if MDF is good quality to you, yes

    • its student quality

      • Does that mean it's durable or not luxurious?

So I have this, I bought it for a similar price a few years ago. For those that are interested:

    Pros:
    - Space saving. You are literally fitting 4 large sized games/utilities into a small space. Big bonus. I have mine in the garage.
    - The flip mechanism is surprisingly well done. To change it from pool to table tennis etc. you basically lift it up and swivel on an axis. However, for table tennis and some of the other ones, you do require to put on an additional board - so when you're not using it, you need to store that board somewhere.
    - The pool is probably the best quality of the rest. The felt fabric is very high quality, the construction of everything is good. The quality of the included pool sticks aren't great but serviceable. If you're semi-serious about pool, would recommend getting better sticks.
    - The Table tennis is surprisingly good.

    Cons:
    - The air hockey kinda sucks. The air is quite weak and the paddles/puck is very flimsy. Don't get it for that.
    - It's very very heavy and can be difficult to assemble. I did it with 2 people, but honestly would recommend 4.

Overall a great space spacer, especially if you're interested in at least 2 of the games.

    • Thanks for your excellent review.

      Three more questions:

      • How thick are the additional boards? I'm thinking of storing them upright against the wall in a hallway, want to know how bulky they'll be if I stack all three boards together (I'll use a rope/cord to hold them against the wall, to make sure they don't fall over).

      • Do the additional boards work on either "side" of the table, or do they only go on the air hockey side?

      • On the ping-pong board, are the net posts made of plastic or metal?

        Hey mate,

        • The additional boards are quite thin, but large. They are the dimensions of the base table itself (~213cm x 111cm) and are about 1-2cm thick. You could definitely tie a rope to put them together for neatness.

        • Yep, the boards can sit on either side of the table. Because I play pool the most and then table tennis, I put the table tennis board on top of the pool side. It just sits on top. So one disadvantage is that it's not held in by anything, but it is fairly large and heavy so it's unlikely to move unless you're a bit wild on the table tennis. The version I bought doesn't have the 4th 'diner table' board.

        • The ping pong net posts are a kind of metal. They fit on okay, but the net itself is a bit low quality. I bought a cheap ~$10 ping pong net rig that makes it a bit better (sturdier net) that I would recommend.

        • Thank you!
