Undercuts the Costco deal I missed out on a few months back - just hoping the box isn't too banged up.

available now for similar price as well, maybe even better
ANC isn't as solid as XM5, but still very good, still better than Px7 S2e.
being a bass head, I prefer ULT Wear. LDAC codec gives good detail and resolution, and that extra bass in the response curve gives the music that extra rich deep end
for me it replaced Bose QC and Px7 both with something that combines decent sound and ANC in one product
so if you like bass guve this a shot. forest green colour is sick, too

sounds like a great bargain.. ive read that these headphones have a tendency to break on the hinge. have you had much of an issue?
not yet, I only got them sometime last month. they feel solid enough, not super sturdy I'd say, but not flimsy that's 100%. Hard case they come with is handy to carry it around. in comparison, Bose QC were built more solid, I could just throw them into the laptop bag carelessly and they look and feel like new months down the track. but sound quality wasn't stellar (no high res codec was biggest problem, and weird response curve too). With ULT wear I think I need to be more disciplined and carry them in the hard case. will serve longer this way I reckon
Nowhere near as bad as the XM5's and potentially the XM6's. I'm tempted to stock up on a XM4 as well since my XM5 hinge is super loose now..

The XM6 has the same hinge design as the XM5 which gets damaged / breaks so easily.
I am not sure is it me only but my ears become hot and sweaty using these for less than an hour . Where as have bose which I can wear comfortably for much longer time
Same, I had to sell mine, ears get way too hot, they also felt like a vice clamp squeezing my head. Obviously nobody at Sony thought a human should test wearing these before production.
Perhaps they tested on people with crewcuts.
A fair few people over the internet have had charging issues with these headphones, me included. They used to charge perfectly every time when I first got them, which was from an eBay sale by Sony similar to the OP's. Then after about a year they just stopped charging whenever I would plug them in.

For me, I have to do the following and it has worked so far as long as I get my timing right:
"The work around is: turn them off (if they are not), depress and hold the on button, roughly 1 second later (about when the blue light comes on (+/-), insert the type C charging cable in the head piece."

BTW, I'm not bagging the headphones as I love them, just indicating an issue……. Maybe whatever causes / caused it has been fixed in more recent units.
Got a refurbed set from the last deal and they wouldn’t charge right out of the box. Because it was a gift it’d gone past return period for eBay. Am about to return them to store asking for replacement but are these steps worth a shot? Seemed like I should return it tho given it was bad out of box.
This or around 40 dollars more for momentum 4s? They are $319 new on ebay after 20% ebay plus discount.

Also although it’s currently out of stock, they also sell the same headset refurbished for $299 - 15% off + $10 off will bring it to $244 if my maths hasn’t failed me. Might be worthwhile to keep an eye on if they will restock the refurbished ones too.
I was on the fence about getting a pair last time around this price, I'm very glad that I did. They are awesome.
