This promotion is open to members who have successfully activated the bonus offer within their Cashrewards account (“Eligible Entrants”). To qualify for the $5 bonus, Eligible Entrants must purchase a gift card from the Cashrewards Gift Cards store between 15 May 2025 12am AEST and 25 May 2025 11:59pm AEST with a minimum spend of $50 (incl. GST) on a single eligible purchase (“Qualifying Purchase”). A Qualifying Purchase excludes the purchase of gift cards directly from a merchant store. Eligible Entrants may track the progress of the bonus at any time on the ‘For You’ page in the Cashrewards website or app. Bonus will only appear under ‘My Rewards’, and be paid into the Eligible Entrant's Cashrewards account, after the associated Qualifying Purchase is approved by the store. Cashrewards Terms of Use apply to the use of the Cashrewards platform and any associated purchase. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account and is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the purchase. Additional purchases do not qualify for additional bonuses. Fraudulent or other activity in violation of the Cashrewards Terms of Use will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

    Does anyone else have to jump through hoops to find the 'For You' page? I have to scroll right down to the bottom of the page to find it. There has to be an easier way.

    The email states the end date is 18 May and that the promotion is only open to members who receive an invitation directly from Cashrewards. The T&C's state

    This promotion is open to members who have successfully activated the bonus offer within their Cashrewards account (“Eligible Entrants”) and is valid between 1st May 2025 12am AEST and 31 May 11:59pm AEST (“Promotional Period”).

    This may not require an emailed invitation? Attention to detail is lacking.

    Jan-25 purchases were approved ~ $10, but I did NOT meet their criteria. This include $5 activation via email which I thought was easy-tracking by CashRewards. Replicate this tracking error 100 times & the loss is in the thousand. How can CashRewards survive? 😱

      I did received CR-email & activatED it via DESKTOP-Firefox-browser. Observations @,
      DESKTOP-Firefox-browser: there's NO-display of $5 Cashrewards Promotional Bonus. Past activationS were shown as pending @ My-Rewards & subject to meeting criteria.
      Chrome-browser using Android15-mobile-phone: I click on 🤍, @ Your-Promotions, this offer is shown as Active(blue-highlighted)…End 18-May.
      CashRewards-APP-Android15: same as 'Chrome-browser using Android15-mobile-phone'

      The complexity of these system, being,
      a.DESKTOP: WindowsOS & mac-OS…& the many browsers people can-use.
      b.Mobile-phone-OS: Android15 & iOS…& the many browsers people can-use.

      All these supported systems: likely separate-datasets that need to interface with a CENTRAL-system.

      Maybe tracking has a HIGHER success-rate with purchases via CashRewards-Android-APP & then proceed to retailer-partner via Chrome-browser?

      They have changed the system.

      Previously they used to add the $5 cashback as a PENDING entry within your list of tracked purchases.
      Now, it just sits under the FOR YOU link as PENDING APPROVAL.

      In a nutshell, they have gone backwards in terms of user experience.

      Shell gift card can buy you Coles/Myer gift cards at Coles express or similarly if 7-eleven gift card is accepted at Coles express or Ampol. Not sure if ampol has woolies gift cards though

        I was able to use a 7-Eleven digital gift card to purchase a Coles Group & Myer gift card at a Shell Reddy Express earlier today, but a lot of Shell Reddy/Coles Express service stations appear to not stock them for some reason.

        EG Ampol service stations sell WISH gift cards, but EG have set up their checkouts to automatically reject 7-Eleven digital gift cards and Cashrewards Fuel & Auto gift cards as a payment method if you are purchasing any gift cards. (You will get an Items Not Allowed error on the EFTPOS terminal, and the service station attendant will see the same error message on their screen.)

        Ampol Foodary service stations do not sell any gift cards issued by Woolworths Group (e.g. WISH gift cards).

          Swapping gift-card: what you highlight is the risk of availability & the risk of IT-system blocking purchases…& complex Payment-Gateway system that drive those EFTPOS-machines. Maybe buyers should be cautious when stepping outside the norm, eg using 7-Eleven GC to buy fuel, swapping-GC etc.

          Seems like Woolworth-Group (owns EG-Ampol) don't want to give commission to the owners of 7-Eleven & CashRewards for selling WISH-GC. People swap-GC: they-lose.

    I failed to pay for fuel @ EG-Ampol petrol-station with AmpolCash gift-card: barcode. I applied 'EG-Ampol ADDITIONAL 6c off per litre fuel offer' via scanning my Everyday-Rewards-Card: targeted-promotion ending 11-Jun-25.
    Maybe EG-Ampol blocks AmpolCash gift-card for promo with HIGH-discount ? Thanks.

      That is the first time I have heard of that issue.

      What was the error on the EFTPOS terminal (or printed on the rejection receipt)? The error should point to the issue.

      Were you using a digital AmpolCash gift card? If so, I wonder if there is a bug in the EG Ampol checkout that caused the error. I know this person stacked an Everyday Rewards card and the RACV discount, but then was not able to stack those with an AmpolCash digital gift card, so that sounded like an error in the checkout.

      I have never had issues stacking an Everyday Rewards card + paper Woolworths fuel voucher + Origin Energy fuel discount + digital or physical AmpolCash gift card in the same transaction (including two weeks ago).

      I think the best thing to do (if you can be bothered) is call EG Ampol and complain to them about the checkout seemingly rejecting your gift card.

        Yes-digital & note that I cut-off the images @ the edge of the barcode that was scanned by the EFTPOS-terminal-> 'Were you using a digital AmpolCash gift card?'

        Whether it's system-bug / intentional-blocking (higher 'ADDITIONAL 6c'), users should ALWAYS consider the risk with gift-cards.

        YOU've been great, candid & open👏. However SOME aren't & falsely give confident to a incentivise-system that has-RISK & people' BAD-experience is littered @ all these gift-card deals….maybe 'wolves in sheep-clothing' lives here 😱

        Buyers should be cautious with gift-cards because,
        a.Management intentionally block payments: maybe test pay a product with $0.02?
        b.system-bug,

        Payment-Gateway system is complex with checking & blocking. In my case 3 SEPARATE-owners are involved: Everyday-Rewards, EG-AU & Ampol.

        13-Jun-25 phone-call: EG-AU blames it on WPay-Payment-Gateway &/or Ampol: apparently when people buy a AmpolCash-Digital-GC that has a large-discount, it's flag & may be block depending the products &/or discount attempt-payment @ EG-AU. My GC was a gift sourced elsewhere & NOT via OzBargain deal.
