These are 3-way speakers which in Australia sell for about $600 (normal Amazon US price $379), so $185AUD delivered seems a bargain. I know that opinions vary strongly about speaker brands, but I think JBL is quite good, and the reviews on these speakers are quite good as well.

I actually ordered these a week ago myself at the same price, but just as I was about to post it on Ozbargain the price went up and has been fluctuating since. If you are interested, don't wait too long because the price may change again. Please note that there are also some other great speakers at low cost which they ship to AU.

  • Would love to get the es90s but they don't deliver here

  • Hi..

Sorry, a noob here, just wondering how can we achieve a 5.1 surround system using these two speakers, what other speakers should I buy to make it a full 5.1 system.

Also, please recommend a good Amplifier system for it.

    • if you want a 5.1 system, have a look at the jamo that was posted a few weeks ago..
this bargain is better aimed at someone who wants a good set of bookshelf speakers for a 2 channel or 2.1 setup

Agreed; I should point out that that Jamo system goes up and down in price a lot too.

You could use 2 pair of these for a 5.1 setup, but you would have to find a good centre speaker and subwoofer. Subs are much cheaper on Amazon US, but not all may ship here, and they may or may not be 240v compatible (US uses 110 volts). The Jamo one would be better value if you want to set up a 5.1 system, but that one still also needs a sub I believe.

Better yet add this to the jamo pack & a sub to create a 7.1 system :)

        • u have a D4?

  • search Jamo on this site.

  • This is smaller and the shipping is cheaper this time.

  • Thanks, I have just bought this along with Dahon Speed Uno folding bike.

  • Well spotted, OP.

Apart from being able to annoy your neigbour's dog, is there any reason to have speakers that can produce sound above 20khz?

  • Warning, personal opinion below and not to be lambasted for differing views:

Usher S-520's are better compared to these for only a bit more($350 or so). Mind you, nice price on these:)

    • There are quite a few speakers brands on Amazon US, but many of them I have not heard of. I suspect some are real gems, but I am hesitant to buy without knowing more.

  • Amazingly quick. My bike is now in Melbourne and I should receive it by tomorrow. My JBL should be here in 3-4 days.

  • My JBL E20 have arrived a few days ago and it is much better than the speakers that came with my Yamaha MRC-40 for which I have replaced.
