    consistant errors

    Time to fire your supplier

    • Luckily it’s only 4-5 colours out of the 300 custom ones they make having these issues, it’s consistently inconsistent

I quite like a light grey for wargaming scenery. Grabbed 5 rolls of the "too light". Cheers.

  • 🤦‍♂️ I just am order from siddament the other night and missed getting some deals

Filament is decent but wouldn't buy from you again until you use a real Courier or even Auspost. Lazy Sendle courier left $400 worth of filament at the bottom of my driveway in the pouring rain. Also the Sendle email notifications were 24 hours behind, I got a notification that my package was delivered the next day.

Auspost has been an option for 2 years I have an eparcel contract since last year, the weight limit is 22kg then it doesn’t calculate eparcel or auspost any further than that, there’s a shipping guide under every product table and at the checkout warning if the package is above 22kg to drop it under it to use auspost.

      • Checking it out further, the app i use to calculate the shipping via Shopify doesn’t send calls properly to quote above 22kg, so each shipment must be split to around 16 rolls to use auspost, I can ask them again for an update on this but the app works too well with other carriers but auspost

        • If I need to place another large order can I contact you for Auspost?

          • +1

@BexForHeadache: The best bet is to split it into 16 roll orders as it seems like the api calls wont be fixed anytime soon. Splitting into 16 keeping it under 21kg of filament (16-17 rolls x 1.2kg gw = 19.2 - 20.4kg + 1kg for the packaging and box pushes it to the limit; if you get nature3d rolls they weight 1.3kg so only 16 of those fit.)

If you still want me to check them out I can do it manually but it might take a longer time.

If so shoot a message through the ticketing.

Wow, that’s tragic. Imagine spending $400 on filament and expecting the seller to personally fight off the elements and sing you a lullaby of real-time tracking updates. Clearly, the courier should have brought a tent, some snacks, and waited in the rain to personally hand you the package with a bow. Maybe try ordering next time from a seller who also offers emotional support and a live weather forecast. Sounds like a you problem, champ.

      • Sendle does still suck 5% of the time 95% of the time they do next day delivery it depends on the final delivery driver

What a weird little rant. Maybe lay off the adderall special bob.

Have you considered selling sample packs? The huge colour range and difficulty properly telling what they would look like makes it hard to chose. Would be great to have multi packs of 100g or something

    • +1

Heck, even just tiny pieces of each filament (like 5cm long) should be enough for people to get an idea of the true colours - I know I'd buy a pack of those with my next order if it existed.

    • +3

sample packs are coming for the new PLA and the new matte PLA 30 pack of coils 50g each coil

Awesome news, be sure to post on here or something when they are available.

  • ASA Sold Out?

    • All ASA gone

  • How do these go with Bambu's AMS ?

    • +1

they work with the AMS, the asa and abs are overfilled due to them being 390m instead of 330m but otherwise roll fine

  • Hey @Sidddd, if I buy and pick up, and decide I want to get additional rolls while I'm there, is it possible to do so?

Also, do you have any recommended filament dryers? Most people say PLA don't need drying but I want to err on the side of caution.

    • PLA doesn't generally need drying as moisture doesn't affect print quality - it just gets brittle and can snap before the print head, causing failed prints. You can dry PLA on your printer's bed - just set it to about 55 degrees, put a cardboard box over the spool and leave it in there overnight.

  • Can anyone recommand a color (PLA/PETG) that resembles the color of machined aluminum the most

    • +1

I've tried a few 'silver' silk filaments and they're rarely light enough and never as shiny as real aluminium, even with an oxide layer. I'd recommend using any light base (white, light silver or light grey) and spray paint it with a metallic paint.

The best I've tried so far is eSun Silver Silk PLA and it's a light enough colour but not shiny enough - I printed a chain mail sample and it basically just looks light grey. It would look better on larger flat areas, but I still doubt it'd pass as oxidised aluminium.
