Newest mid-range TCL model with a pretty good discount from Appliance Central compared to competitors (JB Hifi, Good Guys).
You can try getting the price match/beat discount from competitors, but they also charge shipping so I don't know if it really works out much better.
I've done quite a bit of research to get a new TV and this one seems to be getting some marks of approval for the price.

        The C6K is not a mid-range TV then. It's the lowest of the C series.

      Is it really? Last year the low end 6 series was cheaper than $1100. It was the 7 series that originally cost that amount.

    C7k is a noticeable step up from the C6k in every aspect. But if you just want a good tv for the price, the C6k has been getting good reviews. Just make sure you update the firmware out of the box.
