    Worth while mentioning
    55" - $667
    75" - $1144

  • Ah man, tempting to upgrade the tv in the bedroom.

  • +5

Just got C8K 75 from good guys for $2048 if anyone needs invoice dm me

    • +1

      Good price - nice work.

    • +4

Here is the invoice for others https://imgur.com/a/pP1mHaS

      • Whats people's experiance with this? Can I show this docket and they will likely match it?

        • Even just do it in the live chat

  • These still support FTA USB recording (to an SD card or USB drive)?

    • -6

Gemini replied - Yes, the TCL C6K Australian model supports FTA (Free-to-Air) USB recording. It includes features such as:
      * PVR (Personal Video Recorder) function: This allows you to record TV programs.
      * Live TV Pause: You can pause live television.
      * Recording Medium: It requires an external drive, such as a USB flash drive or hard drive, to store the recordings. The TV itself does not have enough internal storage for this purpose.

Cheers, but Gemini is just a 'guide' at best.

Looking for anyone that has bought a TCL in 2025 and confirm.

Reddit suggests Android 11 onwards has blocked recording to usb on all brand TVs.

        • +5

Gemini is just a 'guide' at best

Everything I've ever asked it (like how to make some obscure program do something I've forgotten how to do), has been complete rubbish. Gemini basically just puts plausible words together.

          • @pjetson: Yeah same. It also doesn't 'do' logic well.

For example, it says an Aircon will run more efficiently set at 24C instead of 19C …in winter!

Clearly the logic is for summer cooling. ..But people still take it for fact.

It also frequently adds in spelling errors for graphic stuff. My take is they have added in random errors on purpose.

…anyway…anyone recorded FTA recently on a new model TV (any brand running Android 'smarts')?

          • @pjetson: That's AI for you.

  • Are these any good?
I usually go with Hisense for lower end budget friendly gear.
But this 65" for 846 is tempting… should i just wait for black friday deals and get a better unit for around the same money later this year?

    • +1

I upgraded my 55 inch Hisense for a 75 inch C6K and have been very happy.

  • +3

I've got it around $980- ish earlier this year, and from my layman point of view (we only watch few movies during the weekend, and Bluey) its good. it has 80% of the bells and whistles of the high end tvs, and picture is bright and vivd enough. would say this is a bargain

  • Wonder why no pay less button on the 85”

  • Oooh that’s a good price. I got the 75” C6K during the EOFY sales for about $1450 (needed a new TV and couldn’t wait for anything cheaper, and didn’t want to stretch out for the C7K…)

I really like the screen, Plex plays perfectly with it so I have retired the Google chromecast streamer 🙂

  • I have a 2019 LG C9 that has a bit of burn in. I'm looking for a replacement and I'm wondering how much of a drop-down this would be in reality?

    • +1

Massive drop. Coming from an OLED, you should be looking at the C8K, or at the VERY minimum the C7K.

    • If you have the amex $100 off $500 offer, and can get your hand on one of the 5% RS9-XXX codes, you can pick up a 65" S90F for ~ $1700 from Samsung (partnership program).

    • -1

If the burn in isn’t too annoying. Best wait for RGB Mini-led TV. They are the next evolution of the C8K.

  • 65" is $846 with free delivery from Appliances Online using a referral code
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/924753

  • How would this compare to the 55" c835 from 2022?

  • Am I missing something? Once I’ve entered code, it is still over $800 for 55”…

    • Need to hit the price check button I assume

    • +1

Price check button brings the price down to $727, and then use code FINALS for another $60 off

  • +1

i got the 75" on the last sale they did, im 35yrs old and my first TV in my adult life that I've owned (i honestly never needed to have one) i must say im super stoked on this purchase, its very good

  • +2

Just a heads up, they have a bundle deal, $300 off total price if you buy the Q65H soundbar and a TCL TV - it says at ticket price only.

But just collected the bundle from my local store, did the price match on the 55", added the Finals code, then added the Q65H and it took $300 off the matched and discounted price. So it was $966 total for 55"C6K and Q65H.

  • Thinking of getting the 55”. Currently use a Sony Bravia 46” Full HD 1920 x 1080 with external Chromecast and Samsung sound bar with sub via optical.

    TV is quite old.

    Worth the upgrade?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • +2

Thanks. Ordered & Shopback tracked for those planning to order.

  • My TV died a few hours ago, ironically it's basically the 2022 version of the 55" here I think. Anyway just bought the 65… nice timing lol

    • I hope this one lasts longer (I got the same as you). Three years is terrible.

  • can you cast with these at all? for instance i have an iphone 14 and i want to cast to the to to watch something?

  • Why is the 85" always excluded?

  • shopback down to 8% now unfortunately, maybe too many people buying this deal lol
