Is the Switch 2 valid for this cashback? Looks like it isn't excluded but would like some confirmation

    • +1

Doesn’t state it, but JB have exclusions on preorders, when using coupons.

Also potentially the item doesn’t actually generate an invoice until it’s picked or delivered. Not sure how that would work with cashback. I always get an invoice for the items afterwards and not when I pay, I just get a sheet of paper saying that I paid a deposit on the items and it’s awaiting deliver. Not sure how and if it does trigger anything on the cash back side.

Last good guys cashback deal for the switch preorder, topcashback tracked just fine and it generated an invoice straight away.

        • There you. Thanks @muzzamo. Didn’t want to give wrong information.

      • Says switch 2 is ineligible though

        • I think the deal was updated. Initially switch 2 was not excluded.

    • Thank goodness I asked and it was double checked. Hopefully nobody pounced on this deal before it was confirmed as excluded

Does this mean the $888 Bosch heat pump dryer from the other day gets even cheaper

    • If it's not in the terms and condition then yes.

Link it in here and we can have a look at the heat pump as well.

  • Just confirming that this will NOT stack with the price check button right?

So based on that only the part that is beaten is not eligible for cashback the rest can, as long as it is done solely on the website and not through chat etc.

From my experience, my price beat purchases tracked and got confirmed. But ymmv :3

Brings the Pixel 9 Pro to $1,102.45, and the new 9a to $719.95 (plus $100 storecash) - not bad!

  • Great timing, brings the 4-pack TP-Link Smart plugs to $38.77 after price beat and cashback.
Only the P100 version, so no smart monitoring or matter support but still a solid price.

    • As per description of exclusions, price beat is ineligible for cashback.

      • +1

I've made the purchase, and had the cashback tracked, which was $10.23, oddly looks like it's tracking the total cost, including the price beat discount.

The T&Cs mention that the portion relating to the Price Beat won't be tracked, not that it is a total exclusion, will see how this ends up once the cashback moves from pending to approved/payable.

        • Oh true, I didn't notice the updated wording!

    • Doesn't stack with price beat button if that's what you mean

      • +1

T&C said it wont track only for 'part' discounted by Price Beat

        • +4

@FrugalHoward @jasswolf @UnrealMacaw @ozchobie Price beat is eligible for cashback as long as it tracks. It is also mentioned on one of the TGG banners in the middle of the page on the TCB webiste. Please see TA's comment on price beat and tracking: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15642047/redir

is it valid for Microsoft surface pro purchase?

  • Would anyone know the differences between these laptops? I need something for working from home (basic word/excel/outlook/xero etc). I know nothing about laptops!

    IdeaPad Slim 5 16" Core Ultra 5 16GB 512GB Laptop
    Product
    OmniBook 5 16" Copilot+ PC Ryzen AI 5 16GB 512GB Touch Laptop

2 different processors and bottom has a touch screen. Both fine for your needs. But Lenovo being so much cheaper is a good buy but the HP is better on battery

      • Thanks :)

    • Just buy from the online lenovo store its usually cheaper and more customisable

  • Has anyone today, with this deal, been able to pre-order the Switch 2? If I add it to my cart, it says not available for delivery at my address (metro Sydney), and if I choose pickup, it says no stock (obviously as it's a preorder).

    • sold out?

    • same here, cannot pick up or delivery in Brisbane

    • Have you tried adding to cart and going through the process?

      EDIT

Never mind failed on my end as well at the enter delivery address stage.

      • I seem to have managed to do it switching from Chrome to Edge, and paying with PayPal (it might have just been the via PayPal bit that worked. I was using CC previously). However, now just trying to be certain if I'll get cashback as its showing $0.00 cashback in my account, but I haven't received TGG email yet, only PayPal email. Perhaps once I receive TGG confirmation email, it will adjust.

Hi. I reached out to TGGs just earlier as a few people asked me about preordering the Nintendo, and they have now confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 was added to the exclusion list recently (and for some reason we missed the alert). I've now updated our terms to state this exclusion. Apologies in advance, but I strongly suggest cancelling your order so you're not left out of pocket. Cheers.

@jlogic please update the terms in the OP. Thanks!

Cashback is ineligible on products from Apple; ASKO; Miele; Loewe; WeByLoewe; Playstation; Xbox; Nintendo Switch 2; 'Shipped by Supplier' products from brands Smeg and Fisher & Paykel; Gold Service Extras; and The Good Guys Home Services.

          • @tightarse: It certainty wasn't in the T&Cs at the time of ordering, as I read it like 3 times to confirm lol. I feel the cashback should be honoured if it was not specified in the T&Cs at the time of the transaction.

            • +5

@edshays: I know it wasn't, and I've apologised for this and will endeavour to find out why it wasn't listed. In the meantime, I suggest cancelling the order as we've already been told they will not pay commission. Thank you for your understanding.

          • @tightarse: Updated.

            • @jlogic: Truly appreciate it. Thank you.

              • @tightarse: Do you knpw how it works for retrospective claims from previous deals? Lets say you ordered the switch, and it was eligible at the time but didn't track, will TGG still pay out?

                • +1

@Feeblely: This is my concern. It's a bit harsh on everyone who ordered and aren't actively monitoring comments on Ozbargain. If T&Cs didn't state an exclusion, there shouldn't be one. I would at least ensure everyone is contacted, if it isn't being honoured.

  • Prices on these Philips air purifiers might be worthwhile. Missed the Philips 3000i $277 deal on Amazon a couple of weeks ago, but at least availability of filters for these ones is a bit more certain. Never considered getting one until we got a dog.

Philips 4200i - Price Beat button to $467, final price $403.32 (or $396.95, depending on GST treatment).

Philips 3200i - Price Beat button to $378, final price $326.45 (or $321.30, depending on GST treatment).

    • $70-$80 a filter isn't bad either. I just spent $100 to replace mine…

      • Looks like there's 2 half-size filters in the purifier - so it's ~$160-180 for a replacement set.

  • Hey TA

Would payment with Afterpay cause any cashback issues?

I have a promo in afterpay credit (not tgg credit) that I would like to use from pevious deal.

    Thanks!

    • Wondering this also please, @tightarse

  • Cheers OP. Been eyeing a new washing machine and this sweetened the deal.

    • I wish I waited a couple of weeks… but alas no crystal ball.

I managed to get the LG washing machine down to $850 but this week it’s down to $888 and then there is this cashback!!!

Don’t think the missus would of wanted to use the laundromat for two weeks though haha.

    • Hey Dimz, May I ask which Washing machine have you selected. On the lookout for a washer and dryer.

      • Picked up the Bosch 10kg at $994 before cashback Recommended by choice and had good reviews.

  • Sony wh-1000xm6 at 15% off

  • Does it stack with TGG StoreCash offer?

    • Assuming so as it doesn't state otherwise in the T&Cs. Only if you use Storecash as part of the payment.

  • Valid for DJI Products as well?

  • Does paying for delivery affect this? No stores around me have in stock, but will ship from Good Guys warehouse (not manufacturer)

    • Shouldn't do.

      • Thank you! Took that chance and got the cash back :) :)

  • Is this math correct:
    Haier Washer @ $850
    - 15% CB on $756 @ $113
    - 28degree price match with Kogan $762 @ $88
    + Shipping @ $59
    - Visa Redemption @ $100
    = $608

  • thanks OP got a sunbeam slow cooker $49

  • @tightarse, how many times can i use this? not mentioned..

  • +1

How on earth does this silly digital wallet thing worked? I signed up but there wasn't anywhere to enter any information when actually making the purchase?

    • For anyone else wondering it seemed to happen automatically but only after you pick up. As long as the phone number on the order is the same.
