Not a bad price unless you want the newer 240hz OLED panels. Some other stores on sale too, but stock variable.

This or wait for the refurbished Alienware deal?
The Dell dwf goes for about $940 refurbished, for that price i think better off going for the Samsung new.
Else even better I wpuld wait for when the newer Dell 240hz aw3425dw goes on sale fpr $1200 again, thats what I went with and am very happy.
i thought only alienware had burn in warranty? does samsung offer it too?
Yeah I only know Dell offers 3 Years burn-in warranty, not sure about other brands.
Just a note that this is the older model (LS34BG850) rather than the model from 2024 (LS34DG850)
DYOR on the differences, though they seem to be minor. Micro HDMI on the older model, slightly different response time, different USB ports etc
Micro HDMI on the older model
Why Samsung? Why would you did this?
slightly different response time
I checked the specs and searched online, and found out the panel is the same and of course response time is the same
Is OLED really not ideal for work/productivity?
Ive had the DG850 for about 6 months, full time WFH + gaming.
I think the main concern is burn-in, though there's a few things in place to prolong it happening. Pixel shift, pixel refresh etc.
There's also some stuff around text clarity but nothing that's noticable to me. Read up on sub pixel structure.
If I was buying a screen for just productivity it wouldn't be OLED, but for gaming too I think the compromise is fine.
I only used my PC for gaming, so i got this monitor. But then I changed jobs to 100% work from home.
I wasnt too worried about burn in, figured i could get another monitor for work if needed.
But it was horrible for my eyes! Not sure if it was the sub pixel layout (text fringing) or just the qd-oled tech but end of each work day i had blurry vision.
I thought about keeping the monitor for gaming only but as the affect on my eyes was instant i decided to sell it.
I had friends try read some text and both said "ah why do my eyes hurt", to confirm i wasnt going crazy.
i have read people dont have issues with LG W-OLED monitors. So if i ever try OLED again, it would only be an LG one
I use a OLED G9 for coding, love it so much. You gotta get over the burn in worry, it’ll eventually happen to every monitor. I find having dark mode on everything with the OLED really recuses my eye strain for long sessions.
Don't bother with samsung screen. The software they bundle is crap and most of the time it fails to detect on display port. I might have had the bad of the batch
34" is too small now, wants 38". Very easy to get used to it haha
Need beefy GPU
Had this monitor for nearly two years now and absolutely love it
I'm still learning about different types of monitors and I'm looking for one for office at home. I found this Dell 34"
Have anyone had any experience with this monitor or recommendation for around 32-34 inch monitors?
Thanks!https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-pro-34-plus-usb-c-hub-m…
If you dont game or dont prefer OLED panel (deep inky black, superb color), then dont get this one. The Dell is superior for office tasks. However, that Dell is quite overpriced I must say.
Choosing monitor depend on a lot of factors and as many have pointed out, a 34inch monitor using IPS panel might be superiorI see thanks so much! I was looking at some smart monitors too as they seem to have other TV functions too which Samsung and LG have apparently… I'll keep researching thanks!
