Says in the ad - MacBook Pros can leverage this

      My Lenovo ideapad needs 100w
      Pretty common these days

    • depends on user.

like maybe similar to you, I have nothing that charges over USB-C PD 45W. but I bought all my chargers 65W to future proof, and also less heat when not running charger at maximum.

some people have more devices charging 65W~100W~240W (current PD maximum).

My phone has a 120w charger allowing it to charge to 50% in 8 minutes.

    • This is a genuine question I believe, so didn't neg you. My phone is a OnePlus 11 and charges at 100w.

The 98% of other people who don't use a "gaming laptop".

    • Gaming handhelds - my ROG Ally supports it and with 100W to the dock I can use it in docked mode while providing full power to the peripherals - using the stock 65W charger I can't use docked mode.

      • My dell work laptop charges at 130w over usb-c, though that does need special Dell chargers or docks to attain that wattage. It charges fine on generic 90w pd charging though for normal use. Very handy as you only need 1 usb-c cable to connect to a dock for everything. Basically you could use this to power a cheap dock like a ugreen with 100w pass through, then you only need to connect the dock to the laptop.

    • My new work Lenovo laptop comes with a 170watt PSU.

Granted it will work at a slow charge on 100-120ish, the power requirements for laptops these days are going up with the workhorse models.

Many modern Lenovo laptops prefer or require a 95W charger.
USB-C means I don't need to deal with that stupid multi-part corded brick charger that Lenovo supplies.

These are pretty bulky and heavy. The USB-C ports will only charge standard USBC with USB C power negotiating protocol. If your USB C device isn't standard, it may not work unless if you have a USB C - A adapter (In which case you may as well use USB A ports).

not sure what you mean by this. the device has USB-A ports. most not proper USB-C but USB-C connector device come with a A to C cable. so there is no issue?

it has always been the case for me btw. you plug a C to C cable in these cheaper not proper USB PD devices and nothing happens. have to use A to C cable (as I said which is usually included in the box - but cheap short cables can have questionable quality so I have and use a nice 50cm Ugreen one now).

I bought one to use with my 16” MacBook Pro and to charge up power banks (200w anker, ugreen) and batteries (k&f v-mount). Plus other accessories like microphones, DJI osmo pocket 3, camera bodies, iPad Pro. It’ll be permanently mounted on a shelf, I use a smaller anker GaN wall plug for travel and portability.

I want to power some mini-pcs. does it pause power when you plug in, unplug stuff?

I bought a 65w Anker charger. It started dropping connection intermittently after about a year. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one without much hassle. it arrived within 2-3 days of contact. Awesome customer service.

  • Solid charger. I have been using daily for about a month now. 2x 100W USB C ports. Holding up well
