Sydney commuters will travel for free on Monday after Sydney’s train chaos.

Acknowledging the state government had to “get better”, NSW Premier Chris Minns said fares would be waived on that day to help compensate people out of pocket because of the major disruptions yesterday and today.

“In no way is that going to make up for the disruption of the last 24 hours, but hopefully it can go some way to alleviate the financial burden that families have had to deal with over the last day,” Minns told 2GB.

    how many people go to airport by train?

    I thought most people hire airport shuttle service or get/hire someone to drive them cos of the luggage

      If you're a solo traveler the train is pretty good! (If you've got a family, it's likely to be similar price to get an uber/taxi.)

      I'm a solo traveler usually. Domestic trips, I take the train there and home but international, I'll get the train there but do a shuttle home. I'm not catching a train after 10+ hours traveling home.

  stuck in the train not moving currently at lidcombe for over 10 mins now due to emergency incident at Artarmon.
