I'm trying to find thick, good quality rugby style stocks for the winter time. Most of my socks are thinner socks which are great for the warm weather but aren't great for the winter.
The only good ones I've found so far are the Gilbert brand but the only online stores I can find are in the UK and smash me with shipping.

Lowes has "football" socks. But not sure you're after them.
Have a look at Merino socks. There's plenty made locally and internationally. We got a couple of pairs of these when traversing Siberia in the middle of winter.

Bought aldi socks in the past. Found them really cheap and irritated my skin. They were also really bad with smells due to using cheap material

Try Bond Explorer socks. The sizes are variable, but they are thick.
I use Icebreaker wool socks, which are more expensive and bought them a decade ago. When I last checked they only had sporty ones available.
