  • how to activate lifetime access?

    • +5

Hi! Thanks for checking it out 😊

There’s no extra step needed — just downloading the app during the promo period (before 31/05) automatically unlocks full lifetime access. You’ll have all features, no ads, no subscriptions, and no future charges.

If you open the app and it plays right away with all sounds available — you’re all set! 👍

Let me know if you have any issues or feedback 🙌

        • Come on mate lol

          • -5

@sauce2k: Not sure why you've negged me

With no in-app purchase and no sign-up required to track full access, there is no way to maintain full access for the "lifetime" of the app

Simply deleting the app and redownloading it outside of the promo period will cause you to lose it

            • +10

              @TheFreaK: Totally understand the concern.

The App Store handles this automatically: once you download the app during the free period, it’s tied to your Apple ID. You’ll retain full access, even if you delete and reinstall it later. No sign-in or in-app purchases are required.

Here’s a quick explanation from Quora:
              https://www.quora.com/If-I-download-a-free-iOS-app-and-then-…

Apologies if the promo caused any confusion, and feel free to reach out if you run into any issues.

Asking for subscription now? Can’t restore 😧

        • Lifetime access should’ve been applied automatically if you downloaded the app before 31/05.
If that didn’t happen for you, just send us a message at [email protected]—we’ll be happy to sort it out!

    • +2

No worries — just to clarify: it's not a trial, no ads, fully unlocked for life. Free if you downloaded before 31 May.

You’ll never be charged later. It’s a one-time free launch gift.

Let me know if you have further concerns.

    How does it relieve tinnitus?

    • +3

      Thanks for your concerns.

Tinnitus tends to feel louder when it’s quiet, especially at night. Background sounds like white or pink noise can help cover up the ringing, so it’s less noticeable.

It doesn’t get rid of it, but it can make it easier to relax, sleep, or focus. Everyone responds differently, so I included a few types of noise — and I’m working on a feature to let you customize the sound to match your tinnitus better.

Let me know if you’ve found any specific sounds that help — always open to ideas.

        Do you have tinnitus?

        • +2

          Sadly, I do.

            • +5

@jv: I haven't used this app but I've found white noise helps immensely with tinnitus

                • @jv: How did you get tinnitus?

                  • @Shenannigoat: No idea…

I've gotten used to igoring it 99% of the time though…

  • Thanks OP! reminds me of a website I used to use: https://asoftmurmur.com/?lang=en

This is fantastic, I can even use this as white noise for my baby's sleep.

    • +3

Thanks! Really glad it’s helpful — especially for your baby’s sleep. I’ll be adding more sounds soon too, and anyone who’s downloaded the app will get them at no extra cost.

      • Hi mate, I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, but I find some sounds like heavy rain and fireplace, you can feel the transition of a loop. It's like once I notice it, I couldn't get over it. Have you ever heard anyone saying the same thing?

        • Thanks for the valuable feedback! I’ll definitely have a look and work on improving it. Really appreciate you pointing it out.

        • +2

Hi mate, I’ve just released an updated version with some improvements to the audio loops. Hopefully it smooths things out, but let me know if you still notice anything — happy to keep refining it! 🙏

          • @luan: Wow! I just tested and the loop effect is definitely gone! Awesome work mate!

  • +2

Does this feature the Homer Simpson collection?

    • Haha not in the app… yet. Might need a “Homer snore mode” for version 2.
Right now it’s all nature and ambient sounds — but I’m always up for fun suggestions.

  • Is it going to stay adfree or its baited and after few weeks there will be an update, and then it’ll ask for payments to upgrade to new pro version. Like Minesweeper someone posted, which i hadn’t updated till yesterday just to find out now its full of ads and asking for payments to upgrade to new pro version.

    • +2

I totally get that it’s hard to trust — especially with how many apps change after launch.

      All I can say is:
I made this app to be genuinely simple, helpful, and respectful. I have no plans to add ads or lock it behind a paywall later — but I also know there’s no way to truly “prove” that upfront.

So I’m just being transparent now and letting the app speak for itself over time. Hopefully that helps ease your concerns.

      • Thanks will try it. I love app with sound mixing with option to adjust individual sounds. My speakers, even on lowest volume, are still loud when connected with iPhone and coz for some reason iPhone volume go up and down like 10% 20%.

    • You called it, this is exactly what they did.

App update doesn’t recognise the premium subscription (restore purchases does nothing) and the app is now trying to upsell subscriptions.

Well played by the developer to get their app bumped up in the AppStore.

      Deleted the app.

  • Incase anyone would prefer to use the actual inbuilt background noise app that comes with your iPhone

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/109346

You can just use this instead.

    • I was going to say - how is this different to the one which comes built in in IOS?

    • +2

Thanks for pointing that out — the built-in sounds are a great option. I made this app for people who want more variety, mixing, and auto-play, timer. Just depends on what works best for you.

    • Til

  • More often or not, i just put youtube on and search Sleep Sounds and play one of the 10 hour videos.
The best sleep ive had recently tho was in dark with no light or sounds, but my routine hates it.
I have a brain that wants to be entertained until my eyes shut

    • I have a brain that wants to be entertained until my eyes shut

Same, I just use podcast or audiobooks.

  • Wanted to get people’s thoughts on this one:

When looking at an app’s ’privacy policy’, what do you make of the mention/listing of ‘Diagnostics’.

Its obviously ambiguous and could mean anything.

    • +1

Means you should be giving it a miss, especially when there's an inbuilt one for free on your phone.

Literally no reason to be collecting data for an app that's as simple as this one (I'm sure the OP is going to chime in with some BS about how they need to collect data "tO iMpRoVe tHe UsEr ExPerieNce")

      • Hmmm.

I find 'Diagnostic Data Collected' to have the most potential to be nefarious. Being unspecified, it could mean anything.

        OP, what are your thoughts?

        • +2

Thanks for asking — totally fair concern.

To clarify: the diagnostics listed here are standard crash and performance reports provided by Apple through App Store Connect. This data is anonymized and not linked to your identity in any way (as shown in the App Store screenshot). I don’t collect any personal data.

It’s there purely to help me catch bugs or app crashes and improve stability — not to track users. That said, I totally respect anyone’s preference to avoid it and appreciate the conversation. And sorry if it causes any confusion.

          • @luan: All good, thanks OP!

          • @luan: Ah there we go. "jUsT tRuSt mE bRo!" it's nothing nefarious!

OP let me ask - if it's truly nothing nefarious why not open source the app? Let the world work out if you're lying or not?

            • @ferry594: Guessing it's for similar reasons anyone would choose to not open source an app, e.g., it's their IP that they spent time, effort and likely money to produce.

Genuine question: If you develop software with the hope of receiving income from it, doesn't making it FOSS risk that potential for income?

Very possible I'm missing something, happy to learn.

              • @Member 0230: Making it <open source> doesn't mean anyone can copy it (depending on the license).

If its GNU or MIT, yes someone can just copy and use it (and with MIT even sell it…).

But OP could easily license it under a Source Available license so that we can verify and inspect the code, making sure that they aren't scraping data and tracking users whilst at the same time meaning nobody can copy/use/redistribute/etc the code.

After all (in Australia at least) if they release it on iOS under that license - nobody else could just install it on their phone willy nilly. They'll still be the only one who can release it there (unlike the EU).

To answer your question more directly though, there's plenty of very profitable businesses that open source their software. For example, Proton (mail, drive, pass, etc.) are massively successful, Red Hat, even Google (Android and Chromium are open source and people can fork and use them to their heart's content).

The only reason I suggested this is because OP is clearly not being entirely truthful when they say the telemetry collected not for tracking users - otherwise why else offer a proprietary app for free?

                • @ferry594: Hey, thanks for the education, there's more to this than I thought. Cheers.

Still have plenty of Qs, like how Source Available doesn't mean it can't be simply copy and pasted, but I can ask Claude or similar off-thread to ELI10 (I know, I know, I just made that up, ELI5 is the convention but I think the level of convo needs… more 🤔😄)

  • +2

Downloading. Love brown noise. Hope this has it.

  • quite a unique app with funny use cases that I could think of lol . love that it allows me to kix different sounds together. wish it has more focus ones like what I’m using in Endel. somehow it didn’t let me to put any ratings at app store (was about to rate 5 star)

  • Great app. Well done. Fun mixing various sounds

    • Thanks so much — glad you’re enjoying it!

Not sure why the App Store blocked the rating, but if you’d still like to try: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6746010774

No pressure at all — appreciate the support either way!

  • Thankyou O.P 😉

  • I grabbed it, let's see.

  • Thank you for this! I tried the rain sounds and I felt the rain was falling quickly.

Is there a drizzle sound where it sounds gentler, like its falling on leaves or the ground, and not falling on a tin roof?

    Thanks again!

    • Thank you — this is exactly the kind of feedback I love to hear!

There are quite a few rain sounds in the app already, but I totally get that everyone has different preferences. I’ll definitely add gentler rain variations (like drizzle on leaves) in a future update. Appreciate you taking the time to share that!

      • Thanks very much, looking forward to hearing more options!

  • Luan are the sounds all mono (not stereo)? not sure if that is a setup issue for me - other sounds app sounds work in stereo.

    • Thanks for checking! The sounds should be in stereo, so that’s not expected behavior.

If you don’t mind, could you email me at [email protected] with which sounds you’re using and your setup? I’d love to look into it and make sure everything’s working as it should.

  • thanks!

  • Love that you can layer sounds and save mixes.
    Shortcuts integration would be awesome.

    • Glad you’re enjoying the mix feature — and great idea on Shortcuts integration! I’ll add it to the checklist for a future update. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Thanks much appreciated!

  • Thank you 🙏

  • Love the gui. Clean, easy to use and non fussy. Thanks OP.

  • Thanks for this, it was great during meditation. Just wondering if you have two of the sounds mixed up - Tibetan Bowl sounds awfully like a gong bell while Gong Bell could be Tibetan Bowl?

    • +1

Thanks for the kind words — really glad it worked well for your meditation!

And great catch — I’ll double-check those two sounds. It’s possible they got swapped or mislabeled. Appreciate you pointing it out!

  • Does it require Internet to use or does it download the sound files with the app in a nice little package ( or I suppose .ipa for iPhone lol)

    • Great question — the sounds are bundled directly with the app, so no internet is needed after install. Everything works fully offline, making it perfect for travel, bedtime, or going off the grid :)

  • And now there’s a subscription model…

    • +1

The lifetime promotion ended on 31/05. If you downloaded the app before that date, lifetime access should have been applied automatically.

If it wasn’t, no worries—just send us a quick message at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help get it sorted for you.

Thanks so much for using the app!

      • Thanks, I got your email and the subscription has been fixed.

  • +1

Got the lifetime subscription cancelled… not a deal if you are going to pull the rug a month later, pretty shameful from you OP

    • Send an email to luan above, I got an email a couple of days later (after a nudge on here). All sorted.
