Purely for PS5 Pro, this or the C775 or something else? Looking around $1500 for 65"

    • I presume you mean TCL C755? I think they're going to be very hard to find at the moment as they've mostly sold out, so this might be your best option. If you wait for the big sales you might get this for around $1000 I think.

I haven't used any of these TVs, I've been looking at options for upgrading my 10 year old Panasonic for two years now. But in my opinion from 'research' and reading comments online, TCL 7 series is probably your best option at this price point.

Which 2024 model does this correspond to?

Anyone got this and care to give a review?

      It replaces the C755
      C855 is replaced by c8k
That said it's minimal differences and if you own one. Spending another 2k for 5% differences is up to the buyer …

      • Thanks mate.

      • On one of the other C7K deals someone posted a table with the differences the other day. Most of the the sizes had a quite significant upgrade in dimming zones. How that actually translates to viewing experience I have no idea though.

If you can find last years model cheap go for that, problem is most of them are sold out now.

Edit. Just had a look and 1000 more nits brightness and an extra 300 dimming zones. For the 65.

  • seem like tcl put most features of last Flagship model c855 into the middle model c7k this year. But c855 still on producing. I will prefer c855 unless c7k as cheap as c855

    • Most comments I see say that C855 > C7K. These are random people on the internet though and not many people would have tried to C7K yet, so who knows?

Just had a look for myself and and the C855 has more the dimming zones (1344 vs 1008) and is brighter (3500 vs 2600), so I'd say the C855 is easily better.

Problem is it's getting harder and harder to get the C855, most places are selling out now. We're probably going to have to wait for Black Friday sales or something for a good deal.

  • For what it's worth, I did a bunch of research before buying and settled on the TCL C855 65" which I have been really happy with.

I got it about 2 weeks ago for around $1,700 delivered from Jbhifi
