Not as good as the 2 free batteries plus $100 GC, but ATL for this kit.

This 18V XR 2 Piece Combo Kit includes:

  • DCD1007 18V XR 3 Speed Hammer Drill Driver
  • DCF860 18V XR 3 Speed Impact Driver,
  • 1 x DCB546 18V/54V XR FLEXVOLT 6.0Ah Battery Pack,
  • 1 x DCB184 18V XR 5.0Ah Battery Pack,
  • DCB118 18V XR 8A Fast Charger and
  • Heavy Duty TSTAK Case.

You can also redeem a 1 x DCG406N-XJ 18V Brushless 125mm Angle Grinder Skin Retail Price $331.50 via Guaranteed Tough(guaranteedtough.com.au)

This is one of the most powerful drills on the market, the only one capable of keeping up with the Bosch GSB-18V 150C. Has anti kickback, and the auxiliary handle is actually usable unlike the joke with the Bosch. The impact driver is also top-notch, and goes toe to toe with the Milwaukee Gen 4 (the Milwaukee has a tendency to crap itself and break gear teeth though).

PS. I have heard that these 6Ah flexvolt batteries can be temperamental

Good deal, its promos like this why I have a garage full of dewalt gear. Cheaper than ryobi if you're not in hurry and so much better quality. re the flexvolts I've got about 10 of them going back to when they were first released maybe 10 years ago and the only one to fail was a 9ah which supposedly has the better cells?

    • Ryobi only seem to be competitive against full price stuff now. With Ozito coming out with better stuff as well like the 120Nm hammer drill, I find Ryobi's main selling point seems to be just how wide the variety of their skins is.

With TKD's current 10% off, a number of AEG kits are also cheaper than Ryobi.

    • How many DeWalt drills do you have?

The issue I have is that these combos always include a drill driver and an impact driver. Everyone already has those from a prior deal, and they last forever. I would prefer a decent combo deal that includes a variety of other tools.

    • Do the 18/54V flexvolt work on the normal XR 18V tools and vice versa?

      • Yes and No
54v flexvolt works on 18v and 54v tools. 54v tools need 54v batteries

  • price match with bunnings?

    • No harm trying, but their price beat policy explicity excludes other Bunnings Group businesses, and TKD is one of them.

Our lowest prices policy means that if you find a competitor's lower price (including GST and delivery charges) on the same in-stock item, we'll beat it by 10%. This excludes trade quotes, stock liquidations, commercial quantities, and items sold by other *Bunnings Group businesses and Bunnings Marketplace.

*Bunnings Group businesses means Tool Kit Depot and Beaumont Tiles corporate owned stores.

    • At best you might get Bunnings to do the same price by using total tools price

  • Heard the 1007 is an absolute beast to have as an every day drill, it's a heavy beast

    • It is. It's the only drill that matches the Bosch GSB 18V-150C for power output and torque. I still prefer the Bosch because it has angle detection, but their impact drivers aren't all that great. The Bosch has very clunky aux handle, but does include a depth stop and current redemption gets you an 8Ah Procore tabless 21700 battery.

The Milwaukee Gen4 (M18FPD0) and AEG Fusion (A18FPD0) drill are also similar power/torque, but they need additional investment into higher output batteries to reach their full potential. They shop with batteries that kneecap their torque a bit.
