Oh I love a price error, but not for a farm direct product. Massive cost to honour or massive time to cancel.

If this was Colesworth I'd be all over it like a fat kid on a donut though.
Edit: okay didn't know these were a supermarket, hmmm…

Yes. Wouldnt bother to save them the hassle.

      • Yeah still seems very annoying for a smaller player, although easier to cancel without a cost, just send nothing and ghost everyone 🤷‍♂️ unless mixed in other orders, when the Karen's come out incorrectly quoting ACL

    • I've never been to Harris Farm. I thought it was one of those fake farm-washing fronts owned by a multi national or something?

$14 a kg for honey is pretty standard these days

        • +8

It does come in a small bucket though..

        • +5

It has a handle on it so it's a bucket. Not sure why you think that's a trick? Quite a lot of honey brands sell in these plastic bucket packaging.

          • -4

@Agret: These smaller buckets, are modelled on the much larger white pvc plastic buckets used in wholesale.

It's a very subtle marketing trick.

      • +2

it needs to be moved out of the plastic container it came in otherwise plastic breaks down and leeches into the honey. i move all my honey into glass jars after buying it

Great point. I heard the honey in pharaoh's tombs was found to be good after 3000 years lol

No way they will honor it.

    • For Click and Collect, the person at the store's job is just to pack. They dont check individual pricing for every items. They just need to make sure all the items ordered are packed.

      • +2

But with thousand of orders, no way they will honor it.

Only chance if not posted here

      • +1

Now that you have posted this they are going to get orders for thousands of buckets of honey.

If this was posted during business hours, then some people may have got free honey.

I have bees = unlimited honey for me and anyone I know. Still going to try and claim this bargain otherwise I'd lose my oz'b membership

    • Is it much work having bees?

      • +2

My brother had bees for a while and he just put two hives in his back yard in the middle of suburbia. Day to day you don't really have to do anything but it's a bit of work harvesting the honey and you need some equipment for stuff like spinning the frames.

He became a member of a local amateur beekeeping group before he got his own hives just to see how it all worked and then he could hire the stuff he needed to harvest the honey or just take his boxes to the club to do it from memory.

      • Native Bees don’t have stingers so that might bee easier in suburbia around people, also there’s a lot more advantages but someone who’s interested would find all that out.
