      They're all resellers of a small number of wholesale MVNOs. Just think of them as the teleco equivalent of a drop-shipper with an Etsy store, they repackage someone elses supply chain solution while adding no value whatsoever.

      I think most of them will die off during the great recession.

        Come on now. Be kind. Going through your post history - You are a user of MVNO's too and seem to favour Nomad - which is an NVMO 🤷 - Aren't we all users of NVMO's NBN, Power, mobile. We'd even go as far as saying branded clothing and food. The whole "MVNOs are like drop-shippers" idea is a bit off. These businesses whether it's mobile, electricity or broadband actually bring more to the table than it might seem at first. They help keep things competitive, offer more options and give customers a lot more choice than they'd get if everything was just controlled by a few big companies. So, just like electrical resellers or NBN providers, MVNOs do a lot more than just resell someone else's service they actually add real value.

    I always compare with esimdb.com - just about to travel to Korea for 10 days.

    Airsims $11.80 after discount for 30 days - no 10 day option. on SKT

    MicroEsim cheapest on esimdb $7.85 for 30 days or $7.08 for 10 days after discount - (not in AUD on the site so price could vary a bit depending on payment method). Also on SKT - 5G/unlimited 128kbps once 1gb/day data finished.

      There is unlimited - however these are shaped (throttled) to a lower speed once you hit the daily limit eg 500MB, 1GB, 2GB etc.

      Our plans show the daily limits - we want to be upfront and honest - we don't hide the daily limit like many providers out there, these limits are set by the host country's provider, also known as "fair play" policies. Shaping speeds range between 128kbps to 3mbps.

    I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to eSims but am looking to get my wife one for her USA trip this weekend. I've been looking around at various sites and I'm reading that data gets ported/routed (might not be the right term) through different countries which can slow down connections? Is this right? And if so, OP, do your sims go through a particular country?

      G'day - Yes that's correct - there will be some latency - however for mobile/tablet use this will hardly be noticeable, if at all. The lag will be more noticeable (though minor) when hot-spotted with a laptop or accessing poorly coded website/app or an app that has many calls to the server. It also depends where in the world the exit/routed/breakout point is. For the USA, Canada and Mexico the breakout point is the UK.
