  • Is the SL68 any good?

    • I quite like mine, does my 4 bedder house well. Picks up a lot of stuff considering it runs every day (3:30am at night, I leave our bedroom door closed and it doesn't go in, if we head out for a day sometimes I'll get it to go through our room to do a quick vac.

    • I had DreamBot L10 Pro.

I only had it less than a week.
      The unit itself is smaller.
It vacuum the same as the DreamBot.
      No complains about it working.
I do recommend getting the station to go with it.

      Some negatives
      - smaller dust bin
      - no mapping only function . Requires to vacuum in order to map the floor
      - no notification from the app . ie finish cleaning, charging etc. but I’m not using the smartlife app. It can been hookup to tuya app.

Haven’t tried the mopping function . But will give it a go when I’m done editing the map.

Still trying to work out the difference between the SL60 and SL68.

Suction ratings are all over the place, sometimes says 2500Pa, then 4000Pa, or 4500Pa.
Best I can gather is the SL60 is 4000Pa with 2 side brushes. SL68 is 4500Pa with 1 side brush but everything else pretty much the same..?

Anyway, also thinking that with such a narrow vacuum brush having 2 side brushes might be more beneficial than an extra 500Pa suction, for hard floors at least.

Don't suppose anyone has tried both?

SL60D is generally the more popular one. Bought separately, I snagged vac + bin for just over $200 and am very happy with them. I'm sure dearer ones do a better job but I'm forever impressed at the value I've gotten.

        • Thanks. Do you use Home Assistant by chance? Looks like it should work with localtuya from what I see.

Currently have a Neato Botvac Connected. Shame what happened to the brand after Vorwerk drove it in to the ground.

Battery runtime is now stuffed and even AliEx replacements aren't that cheap. That along with cloud support being on its lasts legs, it won't be long before it's a dumb smart robot. Can't even view cleaning maps anymore, or connect HA to their API. Was handy when it got forgotten or knocked off the charger I could get HA to alert me.

So thinking maybe time to move on, self emptying, persistent mapping with virtual walls and no go zones etc.. all stuff I wish the Neato had years ago.

(Just searched my emails and see I got the Botvac in 2017, been running 8 years without a hitch on the same battery, guess cant complain about that. Did cost about $600 back in the day though)

  • dammit, I just bought it off amazon for $17 more

    • I’m sorry I did not post this earlier as I wasn’t sure if the station will work with the SL68 :(

Thanks for this, when I bought the SL68 I was bummed out to find the regular dock didn't work for it, glad they made one that does.

    • If anyone knows if the regular refill bags work in these, please let me know. I'll wait a bit in case people start making posts about D3 dock specific bags, otherwise I'll give the regular Lubluelu bags a go.

I bought some bags from aliexpress . But not sure if it will fit. Will update once I get them.

        • Please let me know if they fit, but 99% chance they won't. You can cut down the cardboard piece if you use an original bag as a template though.

          • @jolt: you are right. the bags don't fit :(

this unit has rectangle bags and smaller insert.
while the sl60 unit has square bags and bigger insert.

what I did was cut out the insert to fit the unit.
did a test run and it is working

id be careful with this brand. trying to make a warranty claim and they are not responding to any of my emails

    • maybe we need to write in chinese

  • So uh… These don't fit the SL68 at all lol.

    • How so? I'm still trying to work out why the SD85 doesn't fit the SL68 in the first place. Don't they use the same bin, therefore have the same contact points?

      • The back of the unit doesn't have anywhere that the dust can leave the device, whereas from what I can see the SL60 has a dust bin with a rear facing flap.

HOWEVER, I went to the Lubluelu website to get an example picture of what I mean and on their website the SL68 DOES have a rear flap, but only in the first picture. On the other pictures it does not
        https://lubluelu.com/product/robot-vacuum-sl68

On my SL68 there is no rear flap for the dust box to connect to

    • hmm…. mine seem to be working fine.

just under the blue lever there is an opening for the dust to be sucked out.

      • Is yours an SL68? This is my one
        https://www.amazon.com.au/Lubluelu-Navigation-Editable-Lithi….

If I knew before hand I would have bought an SL60 which can use the dock

I have the same problem. Bought the sl68 and dock separately and they are NOT compatible.
Had to buy this to solve the issue
          https://www.amazon.com.au/Lubluelu-Clothing-Replacement-Acce…

          • @zomgbsed: That's so great to know, thank you, I'll get one of these.

          • @zomgbsed: Yeh I was under the impression the SL60D and SL68 had compatible parts but guess at some point the SL68 came with a non self emptying bin (how long ago did you get your SL68?)

Although the images in this listing still show a non emptying bin and they still have it listed here separately also so I don't know why they'd say the D3 is compatible if they still ship with that bin.

Good to know it's a reasonably cheap fix, though still makes me think that if the new bin works with the D3 should work with the SD85 too. Will add this info to my post for the robovacs too.

BTW, for anyone still looking OPs code has expired but you can use JUNE20 for 20% off and there is a cheaper listing for the D3.

            D3 @ $94.99
            SD85 @ $111.99
