Currently on sale at most retailers for $559, but you can get it cheaper on eBay by using the code SSNOW for $50 off from Harris Technology and PCLive Computer Online (possibly the same seller), bringing the price down to $509.
This is the PRO version, which includes a single 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port. The non-PRO version only comes with Gigabit ports.
EDIT - I made a booboo. HT only had 4 in stock at the time of posting but Pclive has over 10 as per listing rules.
Good price. Paid $45 more half a year ago. Very solid in general with extremely good range and bandwidths. The app is so-so - doesn't have a lot of functionality and it's a bit buggy. Some gripes I have with the app is:
- the list of connected devices is often outdated. I went nuts trying to work out why my NAS wasn't connected, only to realise that it was, but it simply wasn't in the list
- opening the app can sometimes crash your main node. Yes, for real - you open the app and the whole mesh goes down. It's a known issue that happens once in a while.
- configuring IPv6 was a bit painful. The defaults may not work for your ISP, and TP-Link calls things slightly differently. Got there in the end.
- somehow, Asus can recognise devices even if they randomise their MAC address, but the XE75 can't.
All in all I'm still very happy because it works, providing much more stability than my Asus mesh did.
