Get Any Antivirus FREE with Facebook! (Kaspersky, Mcafee, Norton, Trend Micro and Much More.) !

1220

All it requires is a Facebook like and they will email you a 6months or 12months subscription for free!
I just signed up for Kaspersky, all it required was a "Like" to their page and received a 6 month subscription for free. The Facebook page is the legit security page that was created by Facebook themselves, and the email I received was from Kaspersky. Offer expires in 30 days.

RRP $119 3pc set - http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Sof…
Some of the antiviruses available are free, some of them RRP at around $100.

I understand there is some speculation about this because it's unusual to receive paid antiviruses for free, but checkout the page it is coming from: http://www.facebook.com/security This page is hosted by the official Facebook, with 7 million likes

Registered for 6 months Kapersky, lets see if it works

another good thing about MSE is it integrates nicely with Win7 and does not bog your machine down - personally MSE works for me - no fuss, no fee

Make sure you remove ALL traces of previous anti virus before changing to a new brand.

And pre-existing "ailments" in a pc can cause problems which are sometimes blamed on the new antivirus.

Removal tools are available for most antivirus programs from makers support page.

Kaspersky have good advice about removals here:

  • egh, getting popups on the kaspersky one. Paid test

  • Direct link to the Kaspersky one: http://promo.kaspersky.com/fbpure?code=W4DV8-ERY32#=

Thanks but it looks like the Kaspersky promo is over:

      Order validation exception
Promocode: Max activation has been reached

  • Free MSE for me as well.
Never had a problem with it bogging down my box or getting spyware etc in several years of use.
Can't say the same for other machines that have had Kapersky, norton and Mcaffee.

  • Just to advise - paid-for versions really offer no more protection than free versions.

That's pretty sweet, but I've moved to Microsoft Security Essentials (it's free). In the years I used Kaspersky, it never detected a threat anyway. MSE works, and isn't resource intensive or intrusive.

Which antivirus offers 12 months? I just went for Kapersky, which gave me 6 months

  • Hi, does anyone know which antivirus is the 12 month one? Thanks

  • HELP!! I liked, then I downloaded, when it finished I opened the .exe, then it showed me to http://us.norton.com/ps/loem/EN/Facebook/specialoffers.html which says i get 60% off norton products..
I WANT MY FREE 60 days or 6 months, anyone know what to do? I reopened .exe norton file, but same page of norton opens..

    • Max activations have probably been reached and it's referring you instead to a 60% off deal.

  • i am using MS Antivirus for some years now (avg/avast before) and never had virus/spyware even fully connected to internet. All new PCs, first i do is, uninstalling subscription based AV/Malware.

  • Tried Kapersky briefly but really didn't like it & its a resource hog :( Uninstalled

  • i clicked and it says {"error":true,"message":"You have already downloaded a product in the category pc"}

but it's my first time getting it?damn

  • Kaspersky didn't bother to use a certificate authority and self-signed their certificate (face-palm)
Of course this lead to Firefox telling me how naughty this was…

What kind of clowns are running this company?

gave up on kaspersky. Annoying pop-ups, continual reminding it's a trial. Forget that.

  • I'm quite happy with windows 8 built in version.

  • Which of these antiviruses is the 12 month subscription one please?

  • I run my pc NAKED without protection - that extra layer thing just bothers me if you know what i mean
just ditch and rebuild the vm image and it's all good

    • I'm waiting for the viruses which escape VMware. At the moment there have only been proof on concepts, but it is possible, especially if you have integration features turned on, it is possible to get through shared folders and through the virtusl network interface.

Still it is the best justification I have found for no AV; If you are prepared to get infected, you don't do anything of importance on your exposed PC (eg: Internet Banking) in case of silent infection, and you have the resources, time and rediness to rebuild it yourself, rather than take a minimal performance hit, then go for it.

The only type of person I can think of in this scenario is a hardcore gamer who uses a separate (AV protected) PC for personal stuff and only uses their PC for Games from trustworthy sources. If the game files corrupt or get infected it is no big deal.

For someone who uses their PC professionally, like 3D rendering, they would not take this risk on their work files even if they need maxipmum performance possible.

  • OoOOoooh anti-virus. I have a Unix (OS X), the unicorn (magic extreme) that always has my back. SUCK ON THAT LACKY'S.
