@Dyl: You're right, they don't state that explicitly in their terms and conditions that imports are excluded, but every time I've tried to price beat with Officeworks, they always say that it has to be with an Australian retailer. Also they can get away with it because they do state "Identical products and services includes that they must have the same conditions of purchase, including manufacturer’s warranty and accessories"

Check you health insurer. As an example Bupa offer 20% off codes for some Garmin products. Was able to get one of these recently for my wife for $439.20 off Garmin AU

NIB has a free membership that gives you 20%. don't need to have an nib policy to join. Bit hidden on their site
I've been doing a bit of research into this watch lately. It appears to have a common battery drain issue. Ultimately, decided on the Venu 3S instead.
Does the 5 have this issue? (if you know)
I've specifically been looking at the 5 as it's known as very accurate heart rate
this one advertises up to 11 days battery life, so at least won't be as bad as a Samsung watch
Any tier Garmin is better than a Samsung watch battery wise 😂
I've had the 4 and the 5. Under the same conditions (all sensors on, a couple of gps runs), the 4 did 4 days and the 5 does 5 days between charges :)
Any clue on the 6? I was after the 5, but if 6 is worse battery wise I'd prefer the 5.

Reviews I seen do say GPS mode drains battery, without GPS it's rated for 7 days. With GPS rated for a day.
